- Cuba is full of cities big and small. For most guests of Cuba, chances are, you'll never make it out to Baracoa - Cuba's eastern most city.
The scenery shifts as you make your way across the country. As we made our way from Santiago de Cuba (Cuba's second largest and most southern city) we went from a warm, humid, tropical city through the desert landscapes toward Guantanamo.
Passing through this province, we climbed up and down the narrow mountain roads by bus - a vehicle, which in reality, should never be on these roads. At the end of the route was Baracoa, a small sea side city.
Located in the most tropical region of the country, this area sees rain almost everyday, and has some of the warmest and must lush scenery anywhere in Cuba.
There are many things to do which in Baracoa, but the most famous is the local cocoa, or chocolate, production. Here cocoa plants are grown and turned into classic chocolate bars, but also used in cocoa butter and other skin based products.
Join us in this video as we give you a bit of history as we tour the oldest settlement in Cuba - Baracoa.

Cuban chocolate, now Cuban pizza! Awesome. Interesting commentary. Lol sending arkane on a secrete mission. Laughed at that. Derelict baseball stadium looked coo too. Cheers!"
The beach looked nice near the abandoned stadium
I visited Baracoa in 2007. It was my favourite destination in Cuba. One thing I must correct. The internet is NOT a relativley new thing. I visited loads of internet cafes then. That was 14 years ago now!!
This is great! My family is from Santiago, Baracoa and Sagua de Tanamo!
It's really good that you're visiting multiple cities on this trip! That pizza is definitely pretty different. What a cool little dog by the way. I bet you were tempted to take him home. Thanks for sharing another day in Cuba with all of us.
You are certainly getting belter weather in Cuba than you did in Newfoundland. Good price for the bus ride but too long for me, I get travel sick if not driving, which I hate by the way lol. Never thought I would see pizza in Cuba thought that would be too Western for them over there but at 50c, not a bad price. Cheers Alan
You sure do put a lot of time into your productions, Josh. It clearly shows in the quality. Thinking about that old baseball stadium. That small country sure does produce a lot of excellent ballplayers.
No travel to cuba
You know, the saddest part of all this, and the most outrageous thing, is that you foreigners see Cuba as a zoo, as an antiques fair. Your paradise is my prison. Every dollar that you spend in my country goes to the coffers of the dictatorship, not for the welfare of my people. Be ashamed and do not come anymore, my people suffer and you are helping that suffering...
Well done Jorge, many of this servants are notorious cobards period.
