Finding Some Unique Crystals at the I Me Mine!

- Hey guys! On Saturday, May 18th my son and I went to the I Me Mine to dig for some crystals. I had this dig scheduled for about a month ahead of time and had a group of us go to dig for the day. Thing is, a few days before the dig, I got sick. The day of the dig, I was pretty shot, physically. I couldn't do much at all, and wound up taking some videos of others digging. I was still able to collect some pieces, and show those off at the end of the video.

Dude! The manganese or limonite (not sure which) coating on that one is SIIIICK! Probably why you found it 😆 totally reminds me of things I’ve seen from Grave’s mountain
I’ve thought that about Graves as well! Sometimes you can find some really neat coatings there, and sometimes it’s just enough to be annoying because it doesn’t coat enough of the crystal to leave it as-is, making it hard to clean and takes a while. 🤣
I saw the picture of the coated stuff and totally thought it would be from Graves

Thanks so much! I am feeling better, but am still fighting this cough that seems to linger. So glad you were able to go, but I wish you had some better luck! A lot of us rockhounds compare rockhounding to fishing. Some days you catch a ton, and other days nothing's biting.
Agree 100%, worst day out rockhunting is still a pretty good day!

It's in Jessieville, AR. It doesn't have a physical address as of the last time I visited a few weeks back. But if you look at Google Maps, and find the Home Plate Cafe in Jessieville, it's just a few minutes north of that cafe off of one of the gravel roads.
