as a closeted person surrounded by homophobia, this song feels like a warm hug and a reassurance that i’m not alone in this. even in general, for an artist who may or may not be closeted himself, louis has done an unparalleled job of writing songs that so much of the community can relate to, ever since the 1d days- strong, alive, ready to run, end of the day, home, just like you, otb and now copy. he’s been my comfort person for very long for that reason alone- because it feels like he accepts me for who i am when i feel like no one else does.
