@@BillyF752 Thanks, that's very kind. I am trying to streamline things to make the videos a bit quicker to make, but things are always changing in the videos to make them better, so we'll see
Hi mate. Great requests...I absolutely love Jeff Buckley (Grace is one of my favourite albums of all time). I have only listened to a few Elliott Smith songs...any recommendations on where to start? I've not been making videos for a while. I am making some new stuff coming out very soon, I'm not sure I will be doing these types of breakdowns videos in the foreseeable future though. They're very very time consuming to make, so I am (as always) just trying to find the videos that I love to make and can sustainably keep making when I'm not working. Thanks again though, it really means a lot that you've liked the videos
@@DaveyHI don't want to spoil it but Elliott comes from a punk background but his voice evolved into something a lot softer He suffered childhood abuse (to put it lightly) which shows in his lyrics and themes and is further emphasised by his gruesome death (which the autopsy was inconclusive on if it was murder or suicide, I strongly believe it was murder but this is off-topic) I have picked a few songs that show some variation in his range: Clementine (Acoustic): ruclips.net/video/dwsSbAKs3yo/видео.html Clementine (Electric): ruclips.net/video/YQ7zc_AkanQ/видео.html Abused (Studio): ruclips.net/video/jVMx3a0j-co/видео.html Miss Misery (Studio): ruclips.net/video/HsixXCnYVfA/видео.html A Fond Farewell (Acoustic): ruclips.net/video/Z422CfUOqMQ/видео.html Between the Bars (Acoustic): ruclips.net/video/Z422CfUOqMQ/видео.html No Name #2 (Studio): ruclips.net/video/SjpqlllHUGs/видео.html Yes, that song genuinely has no name and hence it's called 'No Name #2' (there are five no names in total, four coming from his debut album which had no production cost, Elliott didn't think his songs were good but sent them to a record label regardless). Thanks you, that’s very kind. Great choice, I’ve started the analysis and research work on stone roses video, it’s going to be a good one, but it will probably be a few months. Hope you don’t mind the wait 👍🏼🎸
I always tell students to get something that inspires you to pick it up and play, so go for something that you think looks cool. But, obviously keep it within your price range. I think you can’t go wrong with the squire affinity strat or tele to start with. In the video description I have a link to a page on my website with guitars o recommend to beginners. Hope that helps 👍🏼🎸
i feel like you didn't tell me anything i don't already know but i still learnt something. that's good teaching.
Thanks mate. 👍🏼🎸
This video is ridiculously underrated, I'm so glad I found it
Thanks pal 👍🏼🎸
This was incredibly interesting, useful and great
Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say. Much appreciated 👍🏼🎸
This might actually be the most underrated channel on RUclips. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks Reuben. Gonna get back to making videos on here very soon. Thanks for that pal, much appreciated 👍🏼🎸
octave tip helped a bunch and really expanded my variety and made my chords and riffs much more tasteful, keep up with the great work 👍👍

Absolutely phenomenal vid! Thank you for breaking things down really simply, it helps me understand it all!!!!
I’m really glad you took the time to watch it, and found it helpful
Can you please do a video on how to play a guitar solo like the strokes
This is so incredible! Do you have any more tips for finding melodies? I really love this video!
Thanks!
Plenty, I’ll see about writing a video on a few ways to try and experiment with 👍🏼🎸
I would like a Robert Smith player study that would be so cool!
Awesome vid. Thanks!
Thanks. Much appreciated 👍🏼😊🎸
Another masterclass..cheers fella
Thanks pal. Much appreciated 👍🏼🎸
Great video! Incredibly interesting
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment too, it's really appreciated
I really like that guitar pot as well

Haha really?!?! That’s cool 👍🏼🎸
I love these videos
Thank you that’s very kind. I’m planning to do a lot more this year 👍🏼🎸
Can you do video about Jack White?
That’s a really good idea 👍🏼🎸
If you would do that and explain how to write "single line riffs" in his style I would praise you to the end of my days, I swear.
@@tfbundy6793 haha I’ll see what I can do. It usually takes me a month or so to research and put a plan together to make the best video I can 👍🏼🎸
