Does al dente works on ipad?
@@being47theses are all mac excusive
❤
Commenting so I can see later. Will use for mac mini.. except Al Dente 😅
App: Rectangle
Video: tRiAnGlE
it’s for engagement, so people leave comments. very annoying
@@emptychair3932 youtube has gone to shit
hotel: trivago
I think it's for not saying rectangle as in rectum in the video. Could get flagged
@@ionutbarnaIt isn't.
I’m from the future, they just added Rectangle snapping feature to macOS Sequoia.
they are
Rectangle is much nicer when you memorise the short cuts. Hold down the Ctrl and Opt keys then press:
U - top left quarter
I - top right quarter
J - bottom left quarter
K - bottom right quarter
D - left third
F - middle third
G - right third
E - left 2/3rds
T - right 2/3rds
C - center the window
Return - full screen
Backspace - exit full screen/restore
+ - window bigger
- - window smaller
Up Arrow - top half
Bottom Arrow - bottom half
Left Arrow - left half
Right Arrow - right half
They're very easy to remember and make moving things around easier
AlDente is my favorite MacBook App ever! I heavily used my new Mac for weeks now, but the battery literally had to only endure 4 cycles until today.
do we really need this to keep the health of the battery on top? I thought mac was optimized by itself
@@alex_tybinYou sweet summer child… Love my MacBook Pro tbh (only because is a high-spec one and it was free), but don’t trust them that much lmao
@@alex_tybin Well it is kind of, but not really. Because as you know, the battery nearly always charges to 100% (which is bad for lithium). Therefor, AlDente can really help. But otherwise, the MacBook is made to be used and worked with on battery, which means you should not always stick to the cable, cause it limits you in your actions I think.
@@adur2 thanks for the feedback
I have my new MacBook for 7 months now, I use it a lot plugged in, I set al dente to 80% because that's proven to be good. I've only 40 cycles and 100% battery life, so yes it helps.
@@alex_tybin
This is sad, especially since a productivity-based computer like the Mac is lacking on basic features that Windows and Linux have had for years
It is especially sad if you know that Mac is just a modified Linux..
@@pilotowl that is the most ridiculous comment. Mac is not at all a modified Linux.
Mac is a Darwin a combination of Mach III and FreeBSD, there are no nasty penguins in it.
well Windows didn't had multiple desktop for decades so... that was pathetic.
and the feature doesn't belong to Linux belongs to DEs like KDE, Xfce, Gnome, etc
and the feature is terrible and annoying in Windows and all the nix DEs.
In windows is still better to disable that thing and use FancyZones instead.
@@laughingvampire7555erm its still based on unix like linux. Terminal?
@@laughingvampire7555lmao I love apple fanboys cry on the internet.
Microsoft Power Toys: Look what they need to mimic a fraction of my Power.
Fr 😂😂😂
do you know windows app that can do stuff like aldente? or is it built in?
@@klob0tMost Windows laptops come with a software that allows you to control laptops such as charge limit, fan speed control or performance profile depends on manufacturers.
Quite the opposite.
Power toys has very limited functionality compared to sth like keyboard maestro combined with Apple shortcuts and user scripts.
I know because I tried replicating my workflow on the work computer and I haven’t been able to.
The apps in this short are basic, I bet most power users don’t use them.
Not trying to be the “windows bad” guy, but from my experience so far having used both systems is that windows is a lot less friendly to power users.
PowerAutomate is decent, but creating workflows with it was a pain compared to Keyboard Maestro.
@@klob0tLenovo vantage in ThinkPads has the same feature
Traingle 😂

The last one is what I've been looking for! Thank youuu!
I like Magnet better than Rectangle myself, but both are great options!
Tiles is the best one
I miss this Windows feature, I'm thankful for your suggestive
Swish is paid but is still the best one imo. The gestures are awesome
Aldente should be installed in every mac 🙌🏿
Rectangle is so good especially once you figure the key commands similar to i3
If you want something like i3 you should use Yabai and SKHD
Wallpaper is sick!! Where can i download it?
Thanks Man 🙌
Really helpful, thanks
No worries!
Amphetamine is a great tool for keeping my mac awake
It's also a great tool for keeping you awake while using your Mac!
Saving for my new mac
I honestly prefer Amphetamine. It has many options like monitoring a file so your Mac doesn't go to sleep while its size is changing (eg a download) and having other triggers like activating automatically while Safari is in focus
amphetamine fucking rules
amphetamine fucking rules
You can do the first one with the caffeinated terminal command.
tysm bog!!
ayyee thanks for watching
Im happy with my laptop, its got all i need. Charging port, usb c port, 2 usb ports, hdmi and an mini sd
Thanks for aldente! Now I can use the mac wired without worrying about decreasing the batteries lifespan
Ayee thanks for watching
Snaping is actually hover over the full screen button and a menu will show up
ahh yes, windows xp cursor to go along with my bliss wallpaper
Triangle be real sneaky there
Thank you
I really like that wallpaper, can I get it somewhere?
the aldente app is brilliant. wish all devices had this by default
bro just said triangle
rectangle is great!
The most interesing one in my opinion, is the bin, where you can throw your apple stuff, and forget about it
The charge limit is really cool this would be good on IPhone
Imagine needing an app to not go to sleep
It’s for specific situations where you don’t want the computer to go sleep after the set duration configured in settings.
Dude windows goes to sleep all the time when it shouldn’t like during file transfers or downloads
@@manuel0578 Which is why there are settings, and not entire apps 😂 like what.
@@RxFlz yeah but cumbersome to always go into those settings
@@manuel0578 yet downloading a whole app is not? Lmfao
(Also I own both a MacBook pro and a windows laptop, each one has their benefits and cons, tho, again, the statements you said seem to be rather biased. Not to mention hypocritical)
What is that notes app beside the battery icon?
Also can you suggest some great sticky notes app for mac(possibly free ones) ? Built in one is horrible, I wish it had microsoft sticky notes.
It's cute seeing a Mac with a tiling manager
BootCamp Assistant was the one, thr intel-based Mac days
Goodies stands for basic function of every linux pc
i haven't used window snapping feature on any of my desktop since then lmao
I like the iPad 10th because of the camera placement it’s more convenient for zoom classes and you can get the logitech case for bout 100$ and it includes a pen that works just fine
The thick black border around the screen is the best feature. 😂😂
good ideas
Hey what wallpaper do you use :)
AlDente is great for making your battery live longer. Keeping a laptop plugged in all the time at 100% can be bad for the battery, so I keep mine plugged in and charged up to only 70% and only top it off if I know I am going to be out with it for the day.
This song gives 2005 flash game 2d game vibes
That last one is actually a native feature on Mac btw
I like the thing that saves the health pf the battery
“KeepingYouAwake” did they just steal Caffeine and didnt even change the logo?
The last one is litteraly the dream of my life
were do you find these cool wallpapers like the one at the start
Also plug in a USB flash drive straight out box without having to format it is not a native Mac feature
Last one is now native!
Gnome which has all of them built in or via extensions and it's free and open source and doesn't charge you 10 times
Rectangle is so underrated
Finally, i have found that there is something mac apps exist.
What I want is that wallpaper, in green.
Pls post your wallpaper link
Apps for basic setting changes
Rectangle is what I really listed on macOS. But I didn't thought of searching for a solution
The fact that this feature is a big deal on mac is so sad af. Rip
rectangle feature was a deal breaker for me. or was it triangle?
a free app amphetamine is a bit better as it allows you to keep the mac awake until a file downloads and choose to keep screen awake
I wish there was an AlDente alternative for windows...
use caffeinate in the terminal instead of KeepingYouAwake!
Windows has these for years, nothing new.
he didn't say they were new either. MacOS has had these for years as well.
OverSight and forget to cover the cam
video: rectangle, yes this is not a native feature on macos
macos sequoia:
Jeez windows and linux has had snapping apps feature for 2 decades now.
Anyone know of an AlDente alternative for Windows?
There isn't one, although, some laptop supports charging limit through the manufacturer's software.
For example, ASUS is from MyAsus. MSI from MSI Centre. And the list goes on and on.
I need a similar pack, but for Linux, plz
The Keeping-You-Awake functionality can surely be done over the settings or not?
Yea you can set your mac to never go to sleep in the power settings
Is Aldente available for windows or maybe any alternative?
some brand have it included, some have not. Use google to check for yourself, aldente is not avaliable.
I've been wondering whats a app to limit the charge to 80%
Thanks!
Its good to see someone say that snapping apps is not invented by apple
do you really need aldente?
My battery never goes 100% automatically, it stays at max 91%
Where can we grab your mouse capes ?
what wallpaper do you use?
I've heard of al dente
Apps that solve intentionaly created problems.
Windows with the same internal features 😂
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is coming natively to Mac.
Resident Evil 4, Lies of P, and Baldurs Gate 3 are all also available
2 fps per hour
It is native now 😊
The last one is a feature, if you hold the green maximize button you get to pick what side of the screen we’d like to pin it
Yes but Rectangle gives you a lot more customizing options, like the Windows resize ones but better. But I hate the fact that there is a pro version that I don’t want to buy.
@@Mattiz6276 the pro version is completely unneeded, and that’s coming from someone who has the pro version. It was only recently that Rectangle got a paid version, and every feature offered in it is on top of what you get with Rectangle (AKA: they didn’t strip any free features to make them paid).
Rectangle pro lets you customize your own shortcuts, and has a really intuitive “window throw” feature which is best used with the trackpad- I’m able to quickly snap windows left/right/corners/centered etc etc with just some fluent trackpad gestures. It’s all “nice-to-have’s” for someone who nerds out about optimizing their workflow efficiency, but it’s certainly not a “need-to-have”
I use scroll reverser.
I hate how mac touch pad and mouse scrool differently than everyone else, and you can either reverse both or only one.
you can change that in the settings.
@@StonedNoob The settings are such that you can't independently reverse scroll one(mouse or trackpad)
@@LegendaryFartMaster I’m sorry I guess I don’t understand what that exactly means.
Basically when you swipe down the screen scrolls down too by default right? And you want to change that to if you swipe down the screen goes up?
I’m guessing I’ve got it wrong 😅
@@StonedNoob the point is that the scroll wheel of the mouse travels OPPOSITE the screen: scroll down, and the screen scrolls up
Whereas on a trackpad, it "tracks" with the screen. Swipe down, and the screen scrolls down.
Apple, in it's infinite wisdom has made it such way that both of them scroll in the same direction. You CAN switch the direction, but it switched it for both.
@@LegendaryFartMaster when you say both you’re talking about the trackpad and an external mouse right?
Please tell where is this wallpaper ?
Keeping you awake❌ Amphetamine ✅
what is the wallpaper on the screen?
Hello, it's from my wallpaper pack - store.thaomaoh.com/b/twirl
Your wallpaper?
imagine needing all those apps just to be able to do things windows can do already for many years.
Is there a clip oars option for MacOS
Wallpaper link please 🙏
I wish u coukd run windows apps in mac
Keycastr must be the only useful
You have to install apps to do the same stuff that is comes built-in in Windows???
Even Windows 7 has the last feature and i think even windows vista
Any windows alternative for aledente
Any app to get animated wallpaper ?
The tape
Is there are windows version of al dente?
What wallpaper?
How did you collapse menu icons?
