I've been running this alot recently. I see many people have mixed opinions on the right build and core items for jungle hylos. Dominance Ice, Ice queen wand and Cursed Helmet (or molten essence) are often used in the build and are usually debated to be core(?) items, alongside COD and Guardian Helm which you did build, especially dominance ice. Interesting to see you choose other items over them, and ur take on the build. I'll go give it a shot.
The main thing I want to get across here is that builds should always be adjusted to the situation. This build will be terrible if the enemy had only 1 Magic DMG dealer. Also, I had sufficient DMG on my team to not have to focus on building DMG such as Cursed Helmet. So always adjust the build accordingly.
dominance ice is when enemy team picked a lot of attack speed heroes. if they're skill caster, antique cuirass is better. i just realized this recently and i often change build depends on enemy team composition.
Dominance is a must purely for the anti-heal if the enemy have good sustain heroes. My itemization is usually Dominance CoD Radiant After that its quite fluid, maybe dreadnought, maybe molten essence. Really depends on whats happening
I recommend to build elegent gem first before other items if youre building COD in future. As the passive lets you gank more comfortably and is the most gold effective item on hylos in the early game.
my first game in ranked using hylos is when enemy team picked johnson and i intentionally keep crashing in front of his car lmao. he and his passenger are doomed. i build full magic def items.
Behemoth boots, clock, glowing Wand, ice queen wand, cursed helm. These are the items you want to beable to melt players as hylos. This will also deal with any healers and tanks. Last item is flex spot but I usually build twilight armor or concentrated energy. If you are doing twilight armor sub the glowing Wand for dominance ice. 88% win rate this season epic-mythic
I think hylos need hp scaling dmg like barats or fredrin then maybe he can be a meta or atleast decent pick, he's quite tanky enough, just need dmg imo, his debuff isn't good enough Although moneytoon seems want so bad for tank junglers to die
Tenacity is a good core emblem for hylos, combine it with cursed helmet, clock of destiny, thunderbelt and use bloody retribution, you don't have to worry about damage.
Yeah, it was a draft pick mistake. My friend was dreaming and picked a 2nd mage, so Novaria got forced to go EXP. 🤣 Had to really focus hard to bring the W home!
Thunder belt: gives 1% hydra defenses the max stack is 9999 Sky piecerer= pretty like execute but highly recommnded for finisher hero Malefic Guns: increase ur range if ur skill hits the enemy

I used Hylos with a Weakness finder (Emblem), Ice Queen Wand (Item) and Dominance ice (Item).
The enemies are effectively afk 😅

Something many ML player don’t gets:
-Don’t get overconfident when your team are winning
-Learn to stay low and farm when your team are losing

Yeah, I agree with your sentiment. His dmg just isn't significant in the later stages.
They are playing to revamp him or adjust him again. He is one of my fav roam.
