I am in San Antonio Tx!! on the Warm up issue I actually play some slow songs to warm up and then after a few I get to the fast stuff, I am not a gigging drummer so I usually just play to music or my son and I play music together because we have a 90's style pop punk and emo band. Glad to hear you are a christian playing for church! I used to put my rack tom on a snare stand and get it real close because I like a tight kit but one day I mounted it on a "L" arm to my crash stand and I couldn't believe how much more resonance I got out of my tom, I play a 1995 Tama Rockstar and it a 12x8 rack,16x16 floor and 22x18 kick that booms!!
