I would love to see native same-cockpit multiplayer support, where two simmers can operate and communicate in the cockpit, together. Would so greatly enhance the airliner sim experience.

One thing i noticed was high level cirrus clouds look alot better. Particularly at 8:36 I hope they have improved high level weather as it really is lacking in MSFS. I would love to see Tall isolated CB clouds that you have to avoid. I would like to see better CAT simulation and Jet stream simulation such as Jet Cores and Jet Streaks, as well as things like the boundary layers and friction layers.

    • @chrzoc
      @chrzoc 2 месяца назад

Yeah I’ve actually had those as my default jetways for about two years, there was an addon on the Marketplace called something like “enhanced Jetways”. It’s possible they purchased the model or built their own.
I almost exclusively fly to/from bespoke airports so I don’t see them too much, but any airport that doesn’t have custom jetways and I haven’t allowed GSX to replace them I’ll still see them. I left them in on most of the airports in the eurozone FIR’s since they seem to be more prevalent there.
It’s quite nice to see the pax making their way from the gate, but now with GSX’s seated pax it makes it even more cool. I’m so thrilled with GSX 3.0… I thought the added object modeling and memory load of the seated pax was going to be a frame whore in the Fenix… but was very pleasantly surprised when I saw absolutely no performance penalty whatsoever 😄

Roll on November! MSFS 2024 looks awesome :) btw, having seen the Aurora recently in early May, I can confirm that you can see some coloration. I clearly saw a green hue, and reds as well, with the naked eye. Not as bright as in MSFS 2024 though.
As for the 'It's just an arcade game brigade': those have been around ever since MSFS 2020 was first around. Apparently they're convinced that a 'serious' sim has to have 1995 graphics, and can only feature airliners, as airliner are the only 'serious' branch of aviation. If you like a helicopter or skydiving or anything else, you're an arcade gamer.. lol. It's all about the magenta line!
Anyway really excited about MSFS 2024.. I hope they won't forget to still support VR though, because that 's the only way I fly sims these days! Simply no going back to staring at a flat screen for me :)

The new trailer confirmed basically what I thought before:
iniBuilds and MS created the A320 Neo v2 not just for Xbox players - it's their testbed for an avionics suit similar to the Garmins which will power all other Airbus aircraft on MSFS 2024.
I think it's time to say farewell to Asobos model as I don't think it will reappear on the 19th of November as a flyable aircraft (might still be fine for AI - maybe it's also used as a base for the A320 series we see in the background).

The shot I’m talking about is the A330 cockpit shot, I think it is also there to demonstrate the use of RAYTRACED SHADOWS, I could be wrong, but it seems obvious to me that the sharpness of the switches shadows and the soft edges shadows form the windshield frame onto the cockpit can only be achieved with raytracing.

Currently on 2015 hrs flying the "748F" since Nov 2020 on real routes using Real liveried planes that Asobo didnt help with at all & it was the "Community" that came up with the method to livery planes with no reflection.

This looks like good fun. I really hope they do make it more interactive. Such as have a character you can walk around and interact, It would increase the personal connection with the full experience of learning to fly in different circumstances. Afterall, a pilot does leave the cockpit and has a life. Having pride as you leave home, get to and walk through customs, interact with or just view the passengers around you before boarding the plane. Or, go to a red bull race and get out to cheering spectators. My point is, making it interactive would give a fuller, more realistic experience, especially if they keep up the photo-realism. I just wish it wasn't so long before release, I want it.

I actually don't get the criticism about the mission stuff in MSFS2024. In my Eyes it's not necessarily "gamefication". These are all things that aircraft do in the real world, so i think it is totaly reasonable to include these things in a flight simulator. Some people always act as airliners are the only real thing in terms of aviation.

iniBuilds better be including multipe engine variants for the A330 ^^ I mean, the CF6 are great and all, but those RollsRoyce are just so much better in my opinion. Its still nice to see an A330 finally coming to the sim, so don't get me wrong. I guess somebody should tell Aerosoft that they can forget about their A330. Would probably come out later than MSFS 2024 itself anyway xd

I really hope the smoke gets diffused by the downdraft created by the blades. Regardless, I was a little skeptical about this new Flight Sim version, but that's changed to excitement now.

Aerosoft still are sitting on their government funds making the A339 and A321N. We can only hope that they may be freeware. But i believe that, once they’ve finished the aircraft handled in the funding we will get a mass release of aircraft from aerosoft. Who knows we may even get a mass bombardment of good Airbus aircraft with (only speculation) the A38X coming out at roughly the same time (maybe, not guaranteed. Wishful thinking)

I'm looking to see a replay system. Also stuff on the immersion side, like tyre smoke, jet and prop wash and reverser effects in rain, snow and dirt, contrails left by actual sim traffic etc. Perhaps most importantly of all, comprehensive model matching... I'm tired of seeing widebody aircraft take off from the gate and disappear into the night because the other user is really flying a Jetranger!

It looks pretty good, I have already decided though that I am not getting 2024 until all my addon planes, at lease, are ported over. It is not bringing so much new that it’s worth not having my PMDG, Fenix, etc… hopefully what they said was true, all addons will just move over. If that actually comes to fruition then I am on.

As always you always do the most awesome job with the knowledge & nice narration / commentary on your videos and utube channel.
look forward to MSFS2024, it looks like all the previous add on's should now be included as default, which is nice to see.
i still wonder how much of the coding was changed for the 2024 sim, is it a complete rework of the existing code, because they did say that the old MSFS2020 aircraft and scenery add on's should work and be backwards compatible? i guess we will see what happens.
one aircraft i would love to see is the 727.
Thank you for your time and efforts to make this video, i have always been a fan of your channel and content.

Tbf it certainly looks promising and the gfx are outstanding. I’m pretty sure Asobo are showing the NEW missions and content that’s not in the stock 2020. The enhanced Ground systems is a good call. I can’t wait to have proper default ground simulation it adds so much for airliner operations. Hopefully they have a great presentation of 2024 at flight sim expo where they give you the details the hardcore simmers are looking for. I fly helicopters a lot in the sim so really looking forward to any updates to rotor simulations. It’s easy to criticise for sure it’s much harder to create let’s be thankful they continue to put so much effort into the flight sims. All I care about is getting a reasonable A350 in 2020 or 2024 😂

Amano, another fantastic video and your insight. I had very similar thoughts on this video before I saw yours. It did leave me wondering - is the A330, the Aerosoft A330? However, you've suggested it might be Inibuilds. Given that Aerosoft are hinting the A333 wasn't being released until MSFS 2024 is released. I added 2+2 and got the usual 42😅 So, given it is more than likely Inbuilds, it proves another good example of your German taxes being spent as well as out here in the UK. The big question this video leaves me with - Will there be an upgrade port from 2020-2024? Anyway, lots of questions that I've no doubt will get answered as we get closer o November 19th. In conclusion, this is all very, very exciting.

Hopefully we'll get a better sense of what the new sim functionalities are. On a visual level, to me it looked a little bit too console game like than leaneing towards photorealism. I guess they have to make something that can run on a xpatato :)

    (Definitely not complaining)
When I saw the first trailer, I immediately thought that MSFS will develop more into the Arcade/Game direction away from an „enthusiast sim“.
But I think with third party planes from Fenix, PMDG, A2A etc. we‘ll still be able to cover this enthusiast aspect (GA as well as commercial flying) absolutely fine while Asob covers more of the gaming aspect.
    I‘m looking forward to FS24 😃
I hope it will be a success story. I love the revival of flight simulation since MSFS released and that there‘s so much attention on flight simulation again.

Considering we have just seen a few trailers then nobody actually knows for sure whats in it. I did like how he said "Don't comment on it" as opposed to don't buy it if its not for you. Then at the end "tell me what you think" so long as its not complaining. I haven't commented previously on FS 2024 on here or elsewhere other than price.
Its Black Friday time of year so expect it to be reduced & Christmas is a month away. Released a week before the FS Expo to get people "warmed up" so to speak.
If its £40 then I'll get it as I can get it bought as a Christmas Gift. However I'll be waiting to see the price & the reviews also as in all honesty, I can see me uninstalling alot of the planes included because I'll never use them just like in 2020. Somebody needs to do a 747-400F apart from PMDG in 2030 🙂

I also sincerely hope they're not just reusing the older codebase from 2020, because on my Ryzen 5800x is still CPU limited and the frame rates don't stay above 55, esp in cities - the GPU is only averaging 40%! They seriously need to rebuild the multi core capabilities from scratch, but if history is correct (eg Forza Motorsport over the years) nothing will happen.
