Hello right now i'm applying for solution architect internship in Malaysia. I've passed phone interview, any tips for case study and another 2 round interview?
Sure! Think about High Availability, Resiliency & Cost optimization when you are presented with a problem: You might have two solutions or more in mind, but prefer the one that respect the constraints mentioned before. AWS offers 180+ services right now, but we don't expect you to know all of them by heart, certainly some of them are "essential" like S3, EC2, or RDS but for example, if you wanted to discuss a solution that require "data streaming" component, you can just refer to it as a "data streaming component" the interviewer won't penalize you if you don't mention the service by name (Kinesis data stream in this case) if you're familiar with other famous names in the industry, you can use them as well (Redis vs ElastiCache Redis..) Those a couple of tips I can give you on top of my mind, but if you have some specific use cases, I'll be happy to help. Good luck dude!

@@farhanhelmycode Hi. How's your internship going? I am also thinking of becoming an AWS architect. How did you start? I am just a student. Is this role available for freshers?
I’ve been working as a software engineer for few years now at one the largest corporations in Finland. I recently was reached out for a solutions engineer role. Does it make sense switching from SWE to solutions engineering career for the long run? FYI, I have a Bachelor’s in Business with pretty strong marketing experience and self taught developer. I do love coding but I naturally end up leading team presentations to stakeholders and also scrum master.

Hey there, that was a really cool video on how a typical SA's day would look like. I'm a cloud developer atm and I'm new in my career after uni (roughly 2 years experience). I love working with AWS services such as lambda, RDS and the dev world in general, though I'm a bit more extroverted and love working in teams and big picture solutions as well. Would being a developer first be an ideal path to transition into SA (since it seems to be a more experienced role)? What was yours that enabled you to end up as an AWS solutions architect? Thanks
I have a developer background... you know what, here is my Linkedin account if you want to check out my carrer path or hit me up if you have questions: www.linkedin.com/in/ilyasbakouch/ although I didn't include all previous companies. So having a technical background and being confortable working with teams / customers is a big asset. This gives you ability to design solutions but also to connect with your customers to better understand their needs. I find myself doing whiteboarding sessions with my customers, giving them presentations, talking to their product people... So your social skills will definitely come in handy.

This is the epitome of excellence. I recently enjoyed a similar book, and it was the epitome of excellence. "Mastering AWS: A Software Engineers Guide" by Nathan Vale
What is job title and salary?
Opportunity after AWS certification.. please explain..
Dude is rich rich. Give me a couple years, I'll be there too.😎🌟🌟🌟
Hello right now i'm applying for solution architect internship in Malaysia. I've passed phone interview, any tips for case study and another 2 round interview?
Sure! Think about High Availability, Resiliency & Cost optimization when you are presented with a problem: You might have two solutions or more in mind, but prefer the one that respect the constraints mentioned before. AWS offers 180+ services right now, but we don't expect you to know all of them by heart, certainly some of them are "essential" like S3, EC2, or RDS but for example, if you wanted to discuss a solution that require "data streaming" component, you can just refer to it as a "data streaming component" the interviewer won't penalize you if you don't mention the service by name (Kinesis data stream in this case) if you're familiar with other famous names in the industry, you can use them as well (Redis vs ElastiCache Redis..)
Those a couple of tips I can give you on top of my mind, but if you have some specific use cases, I'll be happy to help. Good luck dude!
@@WinTheCloud hello thank you so much for your response, just got email from amazon today, next round will be interview with 1 amazonian about the 14 leadership principles and explain it with star method. Any tips to excel that part? My preparation right now is writing 2 story example from my past working experience for each principle, is it enough? They say this is the final round :D im so happy. Thank you in advance
@@WinTheCloud thank you for your tips sir, I got the internship offer 😬😬
@@farhanhelmycode Amazing! Very happy for you!
A mixture of technical and business skills is what's needed for a Solutions Architect/Engineer. You can checkout this video to learn more about it and see whether it's something for you ruclips.net/video/vEsaMMceW_o/видео.html
@@WinTheCloud wow this gold. Would be cool listening to such interviews as podcast.
I can only add 1 like unfortunately!! Great stuff
Thank you brother!
A have a AWS solution architect, I never worked in this area. How can we get an Amazon JOB? Does Amazon hire without previous experience?
There are programs that allow you to join AWS without prior experience like Tech U: ruclips.net/video/rW4vynyPyIY/видео.html
Nice place! 😍
Could you make a video solving problem using your skills as a solutions architect
Great suggestion, I'll add it to the list of upcoming videos. Remember to subscribe to be the first notified ;)
Inspiring
What laptop do you suggest learning AWS price doesn’t matter?
Hi there, thanks for the question: honestly, anything you'd be confortable with. I personally love the way the AWS CLI integrates beautifully within my Mac OS system. But any environment where you're confortable running the command line would do
Hey I just stumbled into your video. I’m currently looking to develop my skills. Whenever I go to jobfinder I see so many positions for cloud engineers and architects. I’m wondering if you might know of any programs internally to help me develop?
I’m looking to apply to a couple when application open back up, but haven’t seen anything related to cloud. I know I have a long way to go, but I do also have very supportive leadership.
I've seen you under a few of these Cloud Computing videos in the comment section... hope you find success in your job/knowledge search... there needs to be more of us in these fields 💪🏿
Hi Patty, One program I can think of is the "AWS Tech U" it's a program where AWS pays you a salary while you join a cohort and learn about cloud, you can find more details in this video ruclips.net/video/rW4vynyPyIY/видео.html
Winter's little joys
Yes they are!
Your house is amazing
As a fellow amazonian and youtuber. You get a like and sub 😉
Impressed. ❤️ AWS Cloud 💛
Us too!
Nice job
How long it gonna take to get the certificate?
Where do you study? In person or online?
Thanks again
Great questions! Getting the certs depends on your level, which certs and how much time you can allocate to studying. I'm actually preparing a video around certifications that hopefully will address your questions
What's the best material to start learning with for Associate Solutions Architect exam for a CS student who has little to no knowledge about networking?
AWS provides a lot of material for all levels, you can check it out here aws.amazon.com/certification/
Nice video. One thing I am curious about: where can I get that aws polo shirt haha?
Only on the internal store for AWS employees 😅
@@WinTheCloud out of stock lol
Any advice for me whose thinking of going into this field but not sure if it’s doable…
How do you find the work/life balance. I’m currently working towards an SA role and found quite a lot of the review sites suggest the hours can be excessively long.
hey where do you live your house is soo much attractive its exactly how i dream of having a house
