    I've had a volt the clarity on it is amazing. People would debate about it not being able to use it to process the plugins like with the Apollo but hey this unit can still get the job done. I'm liking the 476p especially in my case of doing mobile recording I think this is dope I will have this for a backup interface.

      If you see this, what do you mean not being able to process the plugins?

    Would it be possible to request an explanation how the drums were recorded? Just purchased the 476p and would love to learn how to do it.

      Hey Don, thanks for asking! First up - Chris Hardwick is really food at tuning his kit, so it sounds good in the room. We played a lot with snare damping, so there are 3 snare sounds. 1 with no damping and an open ring for the jazzy into and middle improv section. One with a "fat snare" ring damper for the main groove and outro and another where we used a "fat snare" damper with tambo shakers in it for a bit of sizzle / brighter tone the half-time breakdown.
      From there, the drums are RE20 inside the kick with some padding, UA SD-1 on snare top and a narrow spaced pair of UA SP-1 small diaphragm mics on overheads. Narrow so the sound is more mono and punchier. Those 4 channels go to the Volt 476P and we have Vintage and 76 compression engaged on most inputs. The settings are shown in the video and in a small A/B posted by GAK on social media accounts.
      In the mix, the drums are processed with UAD Spark plug-ins, but I did also take samples of each drum (toms, snare, kick etc), so I could mostly layer toms with close mics on top of the 4-mic recording... effectively giving me more mics and more stereo width in the sample layering. I moved the mics for all individual samples but the same approach is there - 4 inputs total. Most of what you hear is the 4-mic balance plus some layering when needed. It's totally doable with a 4-input interface and a handful of affordable mics. Have fun recording! -T

    Hello ))
    Please tell me if this device has a loopback function?

    I got it today, but I am facing a problem. When I turn up the volume of the headphone to the highest level, the sound card cuts and restarts itself. Is this normal because it is protected from loud sound, or is there a problem?

    Dummy question here..... I only see one 48v switch, so they are either all on 48v or all off, right? So using a condenser and dynamic at same time.... how is it possible? The 48v is switched on for all channels and just doesn't affect the channel with dynamic plugged in? (Acoustic guitar with condenser and dynamic for vocals is what I'm thinking...) Thanks for any info!

    Hi. I have a question and I would like to know your point of view on the matter, you who are experienced in the matter
    I have a musical duo made up of
    Backing Track
    Voice
    Keyboard
    Trumpet
    We work with iPad Tablet
    And we bought a Universal Audio Vol 476p Audio INTERFACE and we want to WORK LIVE with it.
    We connect the trumpet microphone, the keyboard, the Tracks and the voice to a Yamaha mixer, which is the one we work with, so we want to use the volt sound card to work live, but only connected to the mixer , without need to use a computer or a program. Is this possible to do. Thank you very much in advance

    What I don't understand is, that it's described as a USB powered interface. But it comes with an AC adapter.
    Can I use this interface with full power on my PC? I'm not a fan of USB powered hardware...

    • @againstxcurrent
      @againstxcurrent Год назад

      AC adapter need only for work with iPad/iPhone

    • @VedunianCraft
      @VedunianCraft Год назад

      @@againstxcurrent Not entirely correct. In the meantime I've found my answers:
      Power over "only USB" has a limited use of the whole interface. Which makes sense, since this piece of hardware has a lot of features where only 5V from the port simply isn't enough juice.
      You get the whole experience when you plug into a power supply.
      In short: it's AC powered interface that works limited in bus power mode.

    Guys! Do you think I can achieve the same quality guitar recording with the Volt 1?
    Is it just me, or does this record have no body at all? Don't get me wrong; it's an amazing song and record, but I wanted it to be punchier, and it lacks depth.
    Maybe it just youtube compression.

    I never want to sound vintage. How people doesn't get it? I listen to recordings of old people like amazing beatles or Jimi Hendrix and the music is great but it sounds freking rubbish because is simple less tech on it. Period. Biggest Gimmik on earth. Maybe, sometimes I do fancy vintage drums. But that's about it. And Maybe
