  • The Insights series aims to provide an interesting and relevant topic and a special guest who can shine some expert knowledge on the subject so we can all learn something new to help!
In this episode, we were delighted to welcome Joe Dale, a former MFL teacher with a penchant for all things EdTech, particularly how it can support teaching and learning in the languages classroom. With a career at the chalkface spanning more than a decade with experience in Secondary and Middle Schools, Joe is an award-winning, educator with experience of working with schools all over the UK and beyond.
In this episode, we explored how technology, including AI, can support teaching and learning in the languages classroom and beyond. We asked Joe these questions - and more:
    • You created the hashtag #MFLTwitterati. It's very popular and has been for years. Can you tell us about that and how people can get involved?
    • I’ve always found languages teachers to be among some of the most creative, particularly with their use of technology. Why do you think that is and can you share examples that others could try out where they can be creative with technology?
    • One thing many people know you for is podcasts, so it’s great to have you on Insights today, Joe. Tell us, what makes a good podcast and how can podcasting help with learning?
    • There’s no getting away from the rollercoaster that is AI. How has this impacted your work and what are you sharing with people around its use?
    • Could you recommend three podcasts or channels to follow on social media?
