When I was at BFPO 42 there was about a year when you couldn't go walking near the blocks without hearing this song.
I love the amazing creepy genius of using the sound of a rifle being cocked as percussion, like it is the last sound the deceased ever heard. Click-click = death has you in its sights. The song would sound too sweet for the topic without that persistent cold reminder.
Adore her since the 70s. So wonderful the younger gens are discovering the wonder that is Kate.

I was born early 2010s, influenced at a young age by my mum to Kate bush, and I’ve loved this song since I was young
The implication is also that every single click-click is the impending death of yet another "army dreamer". So sad.

Can someone please explain why the song I get it about some war I don’t know which country or which war 😢😢
I don't think it's about any war in particular but the country of origin of the song is england and it came out in 1980 so it's possible one of Kate Bush's relatives died in the Korean war in the 50s but I find it more likely that it's just about war as a whole
