Just saying: Nobody plays singles pickleball in the parks because the court is indefensible by anyone except world-class athletes. It's not played in MLP either -- I'll wager because it's (relative to doubles) boring to watch. How long will it take for pickleball thought leaders to call for smaller inside boundaries for singles play? Imagine how bad it would be to watch or play tennis singles if the boundaries for doubles were used? My bet (74 years old, former tennis player and pickleball clinic coach): it would be exciting to play and to watch pickleball singles if inside boundaries were added to make for a narrower court - defensible by regular people. I'm betting the pro-level rallies will be longer, and more exciting to watch than the one, two, three pass-first-or-perish contests we watch now hoping to see a handful of exciting rallies.
Awesome I love this breakdown on playing singles! More is better.
I love me some singles 💪🏼! Glad you liked it

Singles is a very different game than doubles! We’ll definitely do another singles breakdown in the future 👍.
