- Here's a quick video showing the basics to changing oil, oil filter and fuel filter on a Bobcat skid steer. This machine is a S250 but most machines are close in design. This is just a basic video for anyone looking for a quick run through.

Ok so what do I do if I gotta replace the drain hose ? As you said crappy design, there’s no room to twist & certain that metal C part of the hose

Lol 😂 the oil fill is on top the valve cover. What you referred to as the fill port is essentially equivalent to the dipstick as in where you check fluid level

Great video. How much oil does the bobcat typically hold? Also do you have to use bobcat's brand of hydraulic oil. I have a 753 F series that needs some work. Thanks for all the videos
Use the synthetic rotella $18 a gallon on Amazon, it takes pretty much 3 gallons I think

+Nick Johnson All diesels use 15-40w so as long as its that you can use whatever. You can buy the Bobcat oil but its way overpriced. Every machine takes a different amount so I'd just look in your owners manual for the amount... if you don't have one I'm sure you can find it online.

Definitely longer. Depends how much work on pavement you do but you should be able to get a few years out of normal tires. The set were getting put on are supposed to last almost twice as long... but we'll see about that haha
Makes sense, you don't spend much time on pavement. Around here even off road is rocky and hard so wherever you go your tires wear out. A friend has solideal lifemaster tires and they only last slightly more than a year. I like your videos because you are working in a way I wish I could have, big time skid steer enthusiast here.
