  • 17 years of Tenix triumphs 🚢 #70years of BAE Systems in Australia In 2006 we made our largest acquisition, taking control of Tenix - which doubled our workforce and brought with it amazing employees, some of which are still with us today.
With Tenix we launched the final #AnzacClass frigate #HMASPerth that same year. Our now decommissioned Williamstown shipyard in Melbourne is steeped in shipbuilding history.
It was the main construction site of ten Anzac class frigates - eight for the Royal Australian Navy and two for the Royal New Zealand Navy.
These Australian ships are currently being upgraded and sustained at our Henderson shipyard in Western Australia. We have been a major contributor to the Australian maritime defence industry for decades and our shipyards are a critical part of the #AusNavy’s current and future fleets.
