Does the Neil thing really well even though those aren't the pickups in Old Black

For true Young you will need a Firebird pickup in the bridge.

A tip: The bridge isn’t grounded on these, so touching the strings doesn’t reduce hum / buzz. Run a small wire from under the bridge grommet to the knob box and ground it there. Makes a hell of a difference. (Unless you are trying to keep it as original as possible). Gibson apparently stopped grounding the strings for a little while during this era because of the danger of two prong power cords on amps. Not really a concern today.

Looks like the guy's playing my guitar - ebony, cream gear, chrome tombstone tuners, P90s, "Made in USA", etc. I'm told they were built between 76-82, but the ser. no. on mine starts with 99, so that makes it 1975? I'm thinking of selling it, but wherever I look the values are all over the shop, from disappointing to mouth watering. Any ideas? PS: if this thing's paintwork is nitro, how can you touch it up if you can't get that paint any more?
