Unfortunately, some areas do pay that much, however, you can always negotiate your pay 💰. Some people in the medical field have to work their way up. I know phlebotomists right now who have discussed their pay and I know some who have started out with $15 and now they are making $28 at Kaiser with only 2 years of experience.

Veronica Valdez It was like that here in Cali. Don’t give up keep trying! Look up small labs or insurance companies who need Mobil phlebotomist. Look into labcorp and Quest I hear they are easy to get into no experience required for some. Stay the course stay motivated. Also look up people who are hiring for covid testing you can swab them for like $20 /hr you got this believe in yourself💪 apply everyday to jobs. Jocelyn V Hey:) Great question. They know you are fresh out of school towards the end and they also acknowledge that you are there to learn ... mind you you aren’t getting paid for it so you are just there to learn and complete your schooling. it’s still apart of school training really because without your extern you can’t legal get your certification or License in the state of California and other states you know? At my externship in the hospital (linked in the description) they took their time and actually trained me for 2 days they were kind and patient and then they let me do me :) and I excelled! I guess it just depends on your environment everyone is different but I am going to speak it into existence that people are kind and patient with you.
