Perhaps the best arrangement for piano of this Vocalise. And it is also good that a russian pianist interprets this the way he wants. So that the russian in it stayes there. Warm thanks!

И не надо к таким святыням прикасаться... Но, конечно, понятно, что на вкус и цвет (и окрас тональности, добавят профессиональные музыканты) товарищей нет.

У Даниила,как и у Э.Гилельса-- транскрипция, но написанная для "другого голоса" ! Он имел право это сделать--заслужил...а главное, что важно, что форма его не прерывается нигде, как и у Гилельса! И о чем это говорит?! ... Эти настоящие Музыканты играли Рахманинова, а не себя!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Incredible sign of a poor musicianship is - that there is no tempo through the whole piece. That makes impression like it is not a beautiful composition, a piece of music, but it is just something like hanging inside nice harmonics without any direction or meaning.
Excactly so. This is very strange, really. We all have our own opinions - but if the pulse is unstable, (tempo is changing all the time like in this Trifonov's recording) then the whole idea of the structure is missing. And so is the whole Music and it's meaning, the idea.
Dearest polorodriguez, do you know what & how important is pulse? And how important to the healthiness, structure of the piece of Music is to have a certain kind of a stable pulse inside Music? Daniil plays very well but I still prefer Kocsis arrangement.
Key is too low. It’s a vocalise that does not sing but growls.
