    Conductor: Li Xincao
"Silk Road" not only gives full play to the performance of the Chinese instrument, timbre characteristics, and performance techniques of Chinese instrumental music, but also uses the diversified modes of music in the Western Regions and various world music elements such as the flamenco dance, tango, tap dance, etc., so that it displays the diversity of the music culture. The piece features the use of plucked string instruments, fully utilizing glissando to assimilate Indian Sitar music and at the same time bring out the unique characteristics of Chinese musical instruments. The progressive structure of the music changes continuously as it builds up internal energy and gradually reaches the acoustic and aesthetic climax, just like the pilgrims in the vast Gobi Desert who devote their passion and dreams to the mysterious and promising Silk Road!
