Can someone explain please. Surely if they mix up the cube by themselves before solving, they can set it to a particular pattern that they know and solve faster?
They have to follow a preset scramble, randomly generated, and it'll be obvious if they scrambled it wrong, since it won't match one that has been scrambled correctly

@@TheRoberiko19 You can get extremely lucky scrambles, because of the randomness. A few world records and unofficial world records have that luck in them
