OMG!!!!! I HAVE HAD TO SEARCH FOR OVER A WEEK NOW ON UTUBE FOR WHERE THE MAP SENSOR IS LOCATED. YOU JUST MADE IT SO EASY. WISH I KNEW YOUR CHANNEL EARLIER. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A FEW MECHANICS HERE & NO ONE KNOWS. THANK U SO SO MUCH. AUSTRALIA DOWN UNDER. PORTLAND VIC.
Hey nice videos!! I got mine out and cleaned it. Put it back in and not sure if it was working anyway. I had no codes even before just a routine clean. Is there any possibility that my map is disabled? Thanks
Keep it up ! I'm 20 I've had my crd since I was 15 blown a timing belt and blew a head gasket and now she's leaking like a sieve and just changed the torch converter cause she would try and pull me threw intersections, after I'd stop she'd either stall cause I'm not paying attention well enough to put it in neutral ! Apparently the 45rfe shift solonoid is bad that's the last thing I can think is wrong
Thanks for the update! I had to grab one at a Chevy dealer recently for a fellow crd owner, had it next day and it was 21.50 incase you need one fast! (I broke his trying to clean it) thanks for watching!
I wonder if anybody can tell me what's up , I got a pending code 0299 low boost on my 06 liberty . I removed and cleaned out all the cruddd out of egr related parts on on drives side and cleaned of the oil residue on the map sensor . I checked the turbo and vacuum lines they where all good . I still have no power on acceleration and lots of smoke even the seems to rattle a bit when you step on it any help would be appreciated.
Hi -- if someone were to buy a 2006 Liberty in 2021, with 75,000 miles ... would you recommend changing out the timing belt immediately (due to age), even though it's not reached the recommended 100,000 mile interval?
@@GitItGarage Thanks for the prompt reply! I'm starting to see how supportive the Jeep community is, I haven't even picked up the Liberty CRD yet! So, I just have this small 212 mile trip back to my house tomorrow (from seller's place), I figured I could probably schedule the belt change immediately after.
Now I'm wondering if maybe the first owner did change it out in 2016 (ten years), although they may have been going more by the mileage recommendation. I don't even know which mechanic or dealership they used for service on the car. :thinking-emoji:

I've the UK version of your liberty, I've done the egr etc same as yours but I've also done a full straight through exhaust with dummy cat
Thank you for the amazon link, that'a a huge price difference.
I looked up the original part number on amazon. They are 21-29 but you might have to wait a couple weeks to get it. They are 12 on ebay.

I have same problem like you. Did you manage to fix it? Best
Sounds like something boost related because of lots of smoke

Good question! The answer is Absolutely! The rule of thumb is Every 10 years or 100k miles with this engine. Hope this helps!

Where are you out of. I need a mechanic for my jeep.
How many mpg does the crd get?
we have yet to really test it efficiently because we have been doing a lot of work on it but we are hoping 30mpg will be possible
On my 05 CRD not only is 30 possible, it's easy! i.imgur.com/HTsLmQx.jpg
Since you changed to the new GM MAP sensor has there been any better performance with it?
Este motor es el crd 2.5 de qué año es?
este motor CRD 2.8 se vendio en 2005 y 2006 en un modelo Limited jeep liberty en USA
Will this solve code p009a?
Stealer dealers. You have to love and hate them. Nice video, thanks and take care.
Oem part probably made in China. If you cut out the middle man ,the dealer, and order it on eBay probably get the same part for 20$.
Maybe I missed you saying it... What Chevy vehicles use the same sensor as the CRD?
I get Ford ranger parts from a mazda dealer half the price😂😂😂
