Started playing slide not so long ago thanks to you and some others. Got a nice fender resonator but I got myself a 12 chord and tuned it to open G. Took like an hour to do....lol but got there and wow nice sound but nothing like you. Love hearing you play. Cheers from nothern quebec.
This may sound like a dumb question, but how do you achieve the hollow and distant sound? How much of it is where you play and how much of it is the type of microphone/effect you have?
I can imagine a couple Mexicans (one with the guitar playing this exact song) riding along the Rio Grande and making hunt for the Apache people to get the sweet 100 pesos bounty per scalp
There's a good chance your two Mexicans are going to get their asses handed to them. My great-great grandparents fought Apaches for many years in southern Ariz. Back in the 1860's two men going out looking for Apaches was really bad odds. Mexicans are a whole lot smarter than that.
