No matter the final score, you really have to be impressed with Gotham NJ/NY with this breakout year. It seems a bit silly to say 'what a difference a name change can make' but maybe there is something about names and identity that matter -- 'Sky Blue' always conjured up thoughts of 'soft daydreaming afternoons', whereas 'Gotham' is seriously foreboding and mysterious. I am just thrilled to see Gotham do so well, and to see a championship game that didn't involve NC Courage!! I would be remiss to to mention the growth in the league as we saw Racing Louisville's inaugural year start off with quite a bang. Can't wait to see what the regular season brings us!!

Good analysis. I like to hear the game broken down and this works. I had Lindsey POTM too but that was a tremendous save by Franch!! Go Houston Dash in the regular!!!
