Melinda, thank you for sharing your story. I also was diagnosed with ACC back in December of 2001 after many doctors, tests, scans etc. I had many of the same symptoms you talked about. I was blessed to finally be referred to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the excellent doctors there. My surgery to remove the tumor was in February 2002. At the time, there was no chemo or radiation for adrenal cancer. As you said, there is/was very little research for this type of cancer. I'm glad to say I'm a 22 year survivor now. I'm so happy to hear you are doing well. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. ❤

When a woman starts getting facial hair, going bald and getting adult acne, there's obviously something hormonal going on. Her adrenal gland should have been looked at immediately.

I also agree-all hormonal affiliated symptoms. Usually those integrative medical doctors run a ton of hormone tests. I worked for a general practice and it wasn’t that uncommon for our docs to run a 24 hour urine test on patients. Hard to understand how she was not diagnosed sooner.

Naturopath helped me by treating spike proteins with Nattokinase and it helped so much. Was in ER multiple times prior to her help, saw a cardiologist, tested for POTS, etc and scheduled for an MRI. Within a few weeks of doing the supplements my heart rate normalized and I could go back to a normal life, exercise, etc. good luck! It’s so hard when you can’t find answers.

For 3 months I was told I had an infection and underwent every infection test which all came back negative. Finally, I developed unusual rash on my face and had to point out to a doctor it was located everywhere I had lymph nodes before and she agree to biopsy it. It turned out to be a form of lymphoma.

People need to have access to general physicians as opposed to GPs as they are the ones who have trained in getting to the bottom of this type of thing. I've been in the same position as this girl and mine too turned out to be as a result of a tumour and my symptoms were also all over the place as the tumour grew. It took me two years of going from specialist to specialist, GP to GP as well as natural practitioners to get to the bottom of it. Only for one medical person who actually took me seriously did I get to the bottom of it. I had been labelled as stressed and basically a nut job due to the diversity of my symptoms prior to my diagnosis which I still find so insulting. I never got an apology.

Stories like this frustrate me immensely. I took one look at this woman and knew she had some form of Cushing's syndrome, the swollen face, blood pressure, acne, hair growth, bloating, easy bruising, amenorrhea line up with it perfectly. I've had Cushing's disease, which is thankfully benign, but causes all of the same hormonal symptoms. Doctor's act like the symptom profile is hard to diagnose, but the swollen face is such and obvious and specific tell that it baffles me they didn't start at least investigating cortisol immediately.

Cancer doctors only treat cancer and don't study WHY so many young adults and older adults experiencing astronomical increases in cancer, heart attack and stroke ... due to ingestion and inhalation of microplastics from food, water, and air, now six times higher than in the 1990s. For information, global production of plastic was 459.75 million tons in 2019, compared to just 2 million tons in 1950 -- and expected to QUADRUPLE by 2050. All this plastic is breaking down into our food, water and air that we are ingesting and inhaling. Cancer is rampant because plastics are degrading into our food, water, and air.

I mean, it's crazy how drs dismiss severe symptoms all the time. The other day I watched a video of a guy, showing his one eye protruding to an extremely extend. He went to several drs, they all dismissed it, saying it was everything from allergy to some bug he got abroad...He has a cp diagnosis, but that obviously does not affect his eyes. It got worse and finally he showed the dr a picture of him before getting the eye issue. THEN the dr reacted sort of in panic and sent him directly to the ER. He was diagnosed with some sort of sinus cancer. He could have lost his sight because of those, turning the blind eye drs.. What seems to be a good thing to get them understanding the problem is for real, is showing images of yourself before your issues. (If like in this case, a swollen face or an eye protuding) But it really shouldnt be necessary to get their attention or having them believe you though ..

I had to be treated for a year - but the first day despite it being remarkable in that I was sweating and running a fever - my symptoms improved almost immediately. Treat yourself for parasites - your symptoms also sound much like mine as well - especially the swelling. You can get the medications from overseas pharmacies very inexpensively.

I unintentionally lost around 40lbs in 2021 mentioned it to my Dr and he wasn't concerned at all. To be fair, I was a new patient to him so he didn't know me well. I've started unintentionally losing again and lost another 10Lbs over the last 3 months along with many other concerning symptoms. He knows me well now and started with a ton of blood work last week, have a CT scheduled for next week and told me I neither of those give us answers he's sending me to a rheumatologist. I'm very lucky I have a dr that cares and listens. Probably doesn't hurt he also treats both of my parents 😂

Huh? Your adrenal glands sit atop your kidneys and are located in your abdominal cavity.

You have two adrenal glands, they sit on top of your kidneys. And they have lots of different jobs to make your body run smoothly.

It was on my adrenal gland, but an abdominal CT found it. I think they had to increase the scope of the CT to see the whole tumor. It turned out to be 24cm and 3.2 pounds, so it was huge and taking up a lot of space.

Dr Sircus has a great book about Sodium bicarbonate and cancer - I highly recommend reading it - there is another book called and Iodine Crisis - I did the protocol and everything the book says held true for me. Eidon liquid minerals- transdermal magnesium- you can make it yourself buy magnesium flakes and put in spray bottle mix with water - spray on body start slow - Dr Sircus has a book about transdermal magnesium- you have to start building your immune system up and reduce daily acid build up that leads to cancer

I have great insurance (PPO Blue Cross Blue Shield), which covers almost everything aside from co-pays, a 2k deductible, and travel. I agree- healthcare in America is insane. The NIH (who I mentioned) is a national institute that is free of charge for patients.
Unfortunately, I'm still working full time from home so I can keep my insurance and pay all my bills. It's sad, but that's the truth.

@melindacn glad you're doing better. I know you're fully plant based. Please do research about all the plant toxins and carcinogens. I had no idea either I used to think it was the healthiest way to eat till I learned about carnivore and I learned so much from Dr Anthony Chaffee

Yes, I was going to comment this exact thing. I was a whole foods Vegan for 8yrs and recently found carnivore youtubers who have shed so much light on my health issues due to my low fat vegan lifestyle. We need less chemicals and toxins and indigestible fibre, I'm convinced of that now.
