What i loved about this scene was the atmosphere, score, and the huge scale of godzilla. Plus him examining and studying the humans, leaning down to their level is a sign of his intelligence. He squints and examines them and then his eyes slowly open up fully, and then he realizes that humans are a part of his home too and that he must also protect them and keep them in check.
You can hear his heartbeats slowing down
@@mikays7059 a calming heartbeat.

Seeing the planes and ships going into battle alongside godzilla gave me chills
I love how Godzilla enters in the fight with the navy and air force, like to show that Godzilla and the humans have an alliance.
Compared to the people who were killed by their follow humans, the number who died in the battle between Godzilla and the MUTOs was negligible. I think Mark realized that in this moment. Godzilla had no malice towards humans, they just got in his way sometimes.
So he doesn't care about the humans or does?
He dont but he wouldn't out right kill humans or eat them he only kill them because they in the way of his feet or buildings falling
Meme Seller it’s like you caring about ants. When you’re outside do you go out of your way to kill them or if you accidentally step on one, do you really feel any way about it?
@@brianparker5592 Bro, What the hell dude I was just asking if he doesn't care about humans but okay if you want to take it THAT way then you can.
When the humans finally realize that Godzilla isn't the problem, it's Ghidorah and the humans themselves because they kinda helped Ghidorah live until the end of the movie when they finally decide to help Godzilla.
This movie deserves a lot more praise. The music the monsters it’s all epic

I can just see Godzilla saying that perfectly along with this, "Fear no longer humanity, I am here to stay." Godzilla will always be here to stay alongside all other Titans who pose no threat. Just like what was said in the Lion King the same thing apply's even here, The King has Returned! ❤❤❤

I really love the part between Godzilla and Mark. It's like a moment of silent reconciliation between the two as Mark realizes that Godzilla is not his enemy and it wasn't his fault Andrew died.
Godzilla’s walk at 2:21 is literally just like

The only king I would ever bend the knee to 😁😁😁
This is without a doubt the greatest entrance that Godzilla has ever made, I don't know any other entrance that could ever top this one. The rising of him from the ocean speaks tremendous volumes and the scene when he looks at Mark right in the eyes and Mark looks right back into his, you can just feel the two of them saying that Godzilla never meant for Mark's son Andrew to get killed he was just trying to restore balance. Mark's soul was awakened when he saw Godzilla's soul right through his eyes and he finally understood what Godzilla is really like and who he really is, after all they do say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. In my mind Godzilla is just like the Transformers because he too tries his hardest to never harm or kill humans, which to this day still speaks incredible volumes. Even the scene when Godzilla runs right at Ghidorah is out of this world, I never thought that he could ever run, ever. Everything in and about this movie just proves that Godzilla is not everything that we thought he was in his old adventures, all of it just proves that he's so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so much more than that. LONG LIVE THE KING OF THE MONSTERS!!! LONG LIVE THE KING OF MY HEART!!! LONG LIVE THE KING!!! LONG LIVE GOJIRA!!! LONG LIVE GODZILLA!!!!! ❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤👑❤
Meredith Toich long live the true king
Love the comment but I don’t know, that airport entrance with his foot stomping down and everything going silent was pretty epic. King of the Monsters was everything I wanted it to be but that airport entrance always sticks out in my mind
The tsunami scene and airport scene was boss as hell too.
Thors wakanda entrance
The only entrances that can come close to this are the ones from Terror of Mechagodzilla and 2014.
1:25 - 1:40 - I will never get over Bear McCreary using the same musical notes when Godzilla was reborn that Akira Ifukube originally used when Godzilla was dying in G vs Destroyah.
So this gets me emotional for 2 reasons. First it's Godzilla and I'm proud they finally got a character that has been a part of my childhood since I was a kid. Secondly, after 2 years of this movie being released I finally watched the ending credits, and in those credits it has a tribute to Nakajima who actually was in the rubber suit of Godzilla. This scene seem like a tribute to Nakajima, with Godzilla blowing his atomic breath to the sky.
Godzilla:
"Nobody steps on Fenway Park BUT ME! Okay, and maybe the Yankees."

Fun Fact: Godzilla recognizes their human scent because just before Serizawa got close enough to him and got his human scent. Serizawa saved them without knowing, otherwise he was coming in for the kill.
Yet another highly underrated film. My God do I exist within such a synthetic generation.
Brian Stallings i wouldn’t say underrated, it’s a decent movie, not nearly as good as final wars or Godzilla vs destoroyah though.
@@dom9300 no it's underrated half of the fanbase liked it or hated it exactly like final wars which is also underrated for that same reason both films are seen as either good ways of celebrating the 50th and 65th anniversaries of godzilla or bad ways of celebrating his anniversaries
Decent film, very messy but entertaining like majority of monster movies.
@@Kaiju-bm4ts you had to be an OG Toho Godzilla fan to appreciate this movie and understand the Showa and Heisei eras to really feel the impact from the scores, Mothra’s sacrifice etc
@@joefrascino4546 You can be any fan from any generation and still enjoy the kotm for what it is, that stop the fact you got newer and older fans that either love this movie or hate it.

*Godzilla:Get the Army, and go to Boston, I'm counting on you humans. "Goes underwater"*
Oh, Micheal Dougherty and Bear McCreary really did the Rebirth scene extremely well. Straight up classic entrance. And the music makes it just that much sweeter. Hell, Bear went so far to put a hint of Akira Ifukube's Requiem from Godzilla vs Destoroyah in the scene to boot. That's honor of the legacy of the Godzilla franchise right there. This isn't epic, this is Legendary!
So damn psyched how Godzilla rose from the ocean, with the classic music and roar. This is one of their greatest legendary monster battles.
Long live the king! He’s back and ready to fight.
"Don't move!", yells the man who steps back.
2:26 HARDEST entrance ever. Can’t change my mind
Godzilla be bulking!
Godzilla: Will you look at this. These are the fools that blew up my home.
I love how Godzilla is walking with swagger. Like "I am going to kick your ass."
This scene paired with the music, I shed a tear. Long live the king!!!
For someone like me, who saw the original Godzilla as a kid in the late ‘50s, hearing that music, taken from the original film, when the king arrives, makes the scene more impactful. It adds a childlike excitement.
1:01- i was tryna sleep yall always need my help
THAT STARE THO
2:26 coldest entrance in a monster movie
*When he rises from the sea* The king has risen. *Shoots his atomic energy breath into the sky* Hail to the king baby.
All props to Bear and Mike. Bear said in an interview when he first showed Mike his music over this scene in its basic rendered form it made Mike cry. If that ain't enough evidence pointing to Dougherty's connection to the whole Godzilla franchise I don't know what is.
Godzilla: Destroys buildings to protect city
Construction workers who spent years making buildings:😕😳💔
2014: Causes a tsunami when he emerges, killing everyone near it.
2019: Causes a whirpool around him when he emerges, meaning he doesn't want to attack people around him, only people close to him since they might be a threat.
Godzilla is more gentle now.
I like how the in-universe strategy of the humans is 'annoy the target so Big G can get some good hits in'
Everyone went crazy when the Godzilla theme started playing! It was awesome!
**Godzilla standing up in the ocean**
40,000 feet of water the submarine had to dive down into: “Am I a joke to you?”
But how is his tail doing that when it's right outside the water at 0:54?
He's called god for a reason
His tail kept him on surface
His tail kept him on surface
Plot twist: He’s actually 40,000 ft, so he was just casually standing there
We have to chase him. Because he's the hero humanity deserves, but not the one it needs right now, so we'll hunt him. Because he can take it, because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Kaiju....
A Titan, a gentle soul of life, He is the King of the monsters
Its such a chilling moment because one of the factors I liked the most about this final battle was that Godzilla was again fighting outside his element (the sea) and the last time he did he lost, this raises the stakes pretty high. Except this time he has extra company: the humans and Mothra
1:02 YOU...
JJam 15 then at 1:23 “I’m sorry for what happened to your son, I never meant it to happen. But you and I can still save your daughter”.

1 thing i like in Godzilla
Is that he did not hurt humans
The one thing I absolutely hate about Godzilla is every movie someone wants him dead while he tries to help us.
Think about how dangerous the radiation levels must be when Godzilla fires his atomic breath? It's like standing right next to a exposed atomic reactor core. That would've been a good plot device to explore in the movie. Godzilla restores balance on earth but is naturally lethal to humans.
I nevr expected this theme so when it played i got the chills

I love the part when Godzilla was looking at mark Russle and he is like “sup”.
