I’m a piano player but I come here for the great teaching. Augmented chords are so mysterious and beautiful. I’d definitely like to hear more about augmented chords.
I am a pianist following your videos for a month now... You are simply GREAT!!!!! I think you are unparalleled here! Wish I found you earlier.... Please keep making these videos.... Greetings from India
I just stumbled on your channel and I am blown away with how intuitive and descriptive your explanations are! One of the best (if not the best) sets of tutorials I've ever seen! Thank you for your efforts! And - please, do post more videos on augmented chords!
I've appreciated your videos on negative harmony, 7/4 time & byzantine scale. I'm still struggling with how to use augmented chords, so I would appreciate more in this same vein, please
Wow more on this please! You're an excellent teacher Tomasso. I'll get your course as soon as I finish the one I'm following. Greetings and gratitude from India 🇮🇳
Great!! More on augmented chords please!! Can you talk about the augmented scale and when to use it please? I really enjoy your videos. Greetings from Bolivia!!
Ayyy I'm usually just watching one of your many videos in the archive, didn't realize this was actually a new one! Feeling blessed to be a part of the first to see, thank you for the excellent lesson as always!
I love your videos and I don't even play guitar! I'm finding your music theory, harmony, and chord progressions very helpful for my keyboard work. Please keep them coming and thanks muchly.
Love your videos, thanks! My brain is happy. Last night before I went to sleep I watched Signals video and now this morning, yours! Haha I don’t even play guitar! I play bass, I find theory and how you both present it fascinating! Keep up the good work!
Great content !! Thank-you 🤘 Please, continue on these augmented chords modulation. This is not si common if we exclude ragtime, but extremely fascinating to me. Thanks again 👍
(1) Same trick as using diminished 7th, just a different chord. Unfortunately, not too many other chords are symmetric. The tritone interval is symmetric, which leads to the Tritone Substitution: C7 contains E(b5), which is the same as A#(b5), which is contained in F#7. (2) I assume that another method of modulation is to use augmented 7th chords, i.e., a combination of augmented and dominant 7th? (C+7 being C E G# Bb) That way, you could do things like Am to Dm to C+7 to Fm, since C+7 contains the E+ chord. (Does that make it a semi-pivot chord? 8-) )
Iron Maiden... The Rime of the Ancient Mariner: There is not modulation but three minutes only with Augmented chord played by Steve Harris on the bass in the "dreamy" central section! Thanks Tommaso for your great videos! Ps. MORE, MORE, MORE 😊
As a guitar player I always hated augmented chords. They always feel wrong on the fretboard. But I love how they sound. I use the hell out of them if I'm playing keys 😄
I like this kind of thing very much. More, please? Just one suggestion, if you don't mind... maybe you could provide your examples musical notation as well as in "tabs" only? The real power is in knowing BOTH ways of precenting the same idea; you can reach a lot more people with 2 ways instead of 1. Again, just a thought.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Do you think you could make a video on the intro orchestral.piece explaining how you implemented these and what instrument plays what??? I am.learning film scoring and it would be extremely useful. Thank you

What is the law to pass from an augmented chord to the same 7 ?
Ex: When you pass at 8’ from C+ to C7??
