Had the opportunity to ride the two climbs shown in this video during a training camp last year, I remember we all went full gas on both climbs, which made them feel a bit more difficult than what they really are. But I still enjoyed the great views to the see, and the technical descent after the monastery. But we didn't go to Cadaques and Cap de Creus: good reason to come back! Super job from all the team again, the videos just keep getting better!
Sin duda alguna es una experiencia maravillosa rodar por este bello paisaje. Me gustó saber sobre Dali, pero más me gustó, escuchar el canto de un pájaro. Muchas gracias y Saludos desde, mi inseguro y corrupto país.
Thank you Mike. I've some very fond memories of cycling with my dad around Figures, Cadaqués region from a few years a go. I will be going back very soon.
1 year ago i commented on a CC video of the Col de Joux Plane. Almost exactly a year later i find myself in that part of the Alps....up I went. Not only are your videos inspirational to just get out on your bike on a 'normal' day, but they are useful too!! Shame Mont Blanc was in cloud! Cheers guys! On a side note, if you are in that area try the Montée d'Avoriaz from Morzine. Great ride. ~9km at 8%ish. Then there is a GREAT descent to Montriond. Minimal traffic, quiet, fast andflowing bends, great scenery. MAGNIFICENT! (Plus a swim in the lake to cool off is also motivation!)
I really wish your channel would be more apreciated by cyclists because one can see your team is always putting its soule into the editing and stuff...you deserve more attention
I've recently discovered this channel and I'm loving it, so thanks a million. I live in Catalunya, and you've shown me some great rides, especially out of Girona. It's really better to avoid Cadaques during the summer summer months as it generally fills up with tourists, and the road up to Cap de Creus will be busy with traffic. April is the perfect time for a lot of rides here, not only for the relative peacefulness out on the roads, but also because of the mild temperature. Mike, how was the wind up on Cap de Creus? When I was there the wind was vicious. I've never experienced wind that strong before.
The videos are great and I can understand being based around Girona but there are many equally beautiful places in other parts of Spain and far less traffic. At the other end of Catalonia try the Sierra de Montsant or the Maestrazgo region of Castellon for a start.
I had the pleasure of riding these roads in May of this year. There was very little traffic, but there is none in your video, so I wonder whether you filmed this on closed roads?
Enjoying the videos but the flamenco music, really, save it for Sierra Nevada. Also a heads up that the pronunciation of Cadaques is not correct. Sorry rant over, beautiful place yet to visit in Catalunya, as people have alluded to, Montseny, and its not far from San Miquel de Fai which is one of my personal favourites.
Totally true my friend. It's like puting scottish bagpipe song on an english based video... nonsense. The rest as always really well made video!! Hope you understand some positive criticism ;)
Flamenco music to set off your video...thank for keeping, old stereotypes unchanged. Catalonia has a rich and diversified culture, including musical. Flamenco is not part of it. Even Dali would have agreed!!!

Great quality of videos @The_Col_Collective. You succeed in delivering the beauty of the climb to the viewer, thumbs up :)
Interesting change of venue from the standard mega-climb. Great work.

I´ve done that ride as a 15 year old! Beautiful region!
I love the high mountains but this was fantastic. I would love that coastal route on my doorstep.
Awesome scenary, footage and commentary! The roads are like dreams! Thanks once again for the inspiring videos!
You're welcome sir!

p tay “in that area” ? Morzine is in another country and separate mountain range 700 kms away !!
Simply .... beautiful. Inspirational too. Keep up the great work.
Lovely video, really appreciate the mellow ride and fantastic production value
Wonderful stuff - thank you 🙏
Great landscape, cool relaxing video to view
Great stuff. As others have mentioned nice change of pace for video of the area you rode.
I really wish your channel would be more apreciated by cyclists because one can see your team is always putting its soule into the editing and stuff...you deserve more attention
Great stuff Mike. Liked the change of pace.
Great video .. beautiful ride... I would love to do it ...
Beautiful track!
LOved it great stuff Col Collective

Beautiful Mike. How you find such empty roads on the fantastic rides is a mystery
Epic to watch!

You are losing your edge Mike, sitting while climbing? :)

Brilliant
You should also do a video on Italy‘s Amalfi coast!

I'm sure that cow was mooving faster than Mike there... @5.12 😂
What time of day do you film these; or are you allowed to close the road? Great cinematography; keep up the good work! 'Salud'
Generally it takes us all day to film. No closed roads, we filmed its in April and it was pretty quiet the whole way. Beautiful!
Well done; I am doing the Valter 2000 and the Rocacorba next month because of your videos, cannot wait. Thanks for the inspirtation; cheers!!
Mike, I propose a next video in the area of the Montseny and the Guilleries.

Can you rent bikes in the area or need to bring your own?
Late reply, sorry. Yes you can rent bikes in Girona. For example www.gironacyclecentre.com/bike-hire/
when is the mortirolo coming?
Inspirational, as always.
Could've done without the sound of cow bells from cattle without bells though.
The cows with bells were in the field opposite, beautiful they were, but these were more excitable when they saw the camera. Real mooooovie stars ;-)
The Col Collective 👍🏻
You dont seem to have encountered much traffic...?
Why are you riding down the middle of the road?
what time of year did you do the ride?
Hi Paul, we rode this in April, beautiful weather and very little traffic :-) Thanks for watching. Mike

Still vegan, Mike? Great videos!
Certainly am!
