Actually, the Heat don't necessarily put 2 wings up top. We put whoever the best, most athletic, longest, most versatile defenders are (other than the center). Naturally that seems like a job for a wing/forward, but currently our preferred top duo is Caleb Martin + Gabe Vincent. Gabe is a point guard but he's 6'3" and has the skill and athleticism to do it.

This explanation is good but this heat zone is actually different than normal 2-3 zone
    Its a combination of 2-3 and 3-2 (I name it 3-3 zone)
When the opponent stays around 45° spot they will go to 3-2 and when the opponent moves to corner they go 2-3
The weakside kinda play man to man in a sense

Man to man is a simple and effective defense but its not flexible
Lets say you have trae young on your team, and you have guys like gobert, giannis
With man to man, trae will get iso'ed all day long
While in zone he can kinda hide while protecting his small zone(he can get blown by and the defense still be in "fine" condition)

But the Lakers beat that when they met during regular season games

The Lakers did beat the Heat in the regular season (which feels like 10 years ago) but this is a new roster for the Heat with new pieces. I'm excited to see how it's going to play out in this years NBA Finals!
