Nice job! Comparing the 3 scopes is very nice to see, when side by side. I like to see you troubleshoot a PCB - doesn't have to bee complicated, I think that is what lots of people would like to see, but aren't saying out loud. Thanks again!

Great Video. I have a Siglent 1104X-E, and it looks almost the same as the 1202X as used here. There is an easy way to reset the counts of the statistics: Press the "clear Sweeps" button on the front panel of the Siglent scope. It will reset the count to zero and starts over again while measuring. I have no 1202x, but maybe you can check?
I have also noticed that if you change the timescale during stat. measurement the Std-Dev values will jump with big steps. Therefor I think it is good to reset the counter once you have a stable measurement situation (e.g. the correct time-scale + measurement values you want to add).
    Thanks for the video!

@@KissAnalog Hi, Mr Analog, I like the Siglent scope very much. I had only some experience on Analog Scopes during my school periode 30 years ago. A DSO is really much more powerful, e.g. new trigger possibilities, segmented (deep) memory, colors/heatmap, persistence. Wonderful. I have watched a lot of youtube reviews regarding scope features and finally I selected the Siglent a few months ago based on price/performance ratio. One of things what is not clear to me are the use cases of the MATH function. I understand FFT, but the other more trivial ones : Add, Subtract, Multiply, Integral etc I am more or less guessing for the practicality. As on Analog scope these functions were not there, so you didn't know what you missed :-) Also the REF is new for me. But on the Siglent you can not do calculations based on REF i.c.w. the A or B channel. Other scopes can sometimes do that. Is that much better? Even sometimes with more complex calculations which the user can add in the menu (sin, cos, log etc) . Maybe this could be future video for you? To explain and/or compare scopes? Or the video is existing and I have overlooked. Next to that: I like this channel, since I learned a lot in a short time. Thank you very much!!! I wish we had in the earlier days at school this practical way of information transfer. Very good. Please keep on going! Regards, Marcel

Great video, with a great flow and packed with easily digested info.
LOL just a small comment on your calculation at 1:14, it is 100X less:-)
By the way am I right in thinking that what you can call deep memory, depends on how many data points the scope records per time unit?
May I ask if you would consider:
    350MHz Bandwidth
    8GSa/sec max Sample Rate
    200MPts max Record length
    500,000 wfs/sec Waveform Capture Rate
As deep memory and capture rate?

I have two a new Rigol MSO5074 and an old analog 2 ch scope, but maybe it is a half truth to call it a scope anymore, maybe more like a "curse until it works" scope :-)

Cool! The 074 is just 70MHz according to what I saw. You could open it up to 350MHz? That is a nice looking scope!

These are useful videos so thanks for doing them. I have a similar Siglent model and have used the measurements a lot when running tests on my PSU. I like the count as it gives you an indication of the number of measurements taken - the more there are, the greater the accuracy I expect. On the Keysight, the data sheet literature.cdn.keysight.com/litweb/pdf/5992-3484EN.pdf?id=3019454 on page 19 mentions one of the measurements you did: AC RMS-full screen (standard deviation.) I can't find anything more out about it though - perhaps Keysight themselves can give you more information? I'm now at the point where I need to play with my scope a lot more and really get to grips with its functionality and understanding what it is showing me. Any more videos in this vein would be great!

I think the Siglent is a great scope - amazing for the price! I think the lower models of the Keysight - they held back some things - like memory - just to make their more expensive scopes look more worthwhile. Maybe they are worried that the labs that can afford the 20k scopes would take a sub $3k scope if it had deem memory. The rental companies don't handle Siglent and others, but they do carry GW instek, so you do find GW Instek in some labs. I think this old school thought where the people renting these scopes don't have to pay for them - and that's just the way its always been done - is what keeps people paying 20k plus when they really don't need it - or 90% of them don't - IMHO;)
