Great review! Keep them up! I have a ton of videos on my Mirages, Outlander Sport and our Eclipse Crosses lol. We have owned 5 Mitsubishis since 2015 and we came from Hyundai and Kias. I liked them alot but when ai switched to Mitsubishi I was hooked and they are a great brand that is so underrated and given unfair criticism. We trade up every 2-3 years and never had I bought 2 of the same cars twice until he Mirage I went from a 2015 Mirage to a 2017 Mirage G4 and now we own 2 identical Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Touring’s with S-AWC. Love Mitsubishi. Keep up these videos you do very well at it and showing all the stuff.
Lookin at one of these. Thanks man! Found a 2019 hatch that’s new. 5 spd. I was curious about stability. Hmmm. Chattanooga boy here! Glad to see another Tennessean here!
Hi Joe, thanks for watching my friend! I believe you'll love the Mitsubishi Mirage if you are looking for great mpgs, and a fun reliable car just be careful on windy days and 18 wheelers and you'll be great! Glad to see another Chattanoogan on here! Please like & subscribe, I need all the help I can get! 😊
Nice review. Thanks for being honest & not trashing this little rig. They’re great little cars. I look forward to many years of trouble free motoring from mine. 👍🏻
Thank you for this review! I'm glad to hear so many positives after listening to car journalists rip on this car for not being fancy. My personal opinion, I think they drive so many fancy cars that maybe they forgot how to actually drive. lol. Anyway...have you tried to pump the gas on the highway to go faster? (Kind of the way you pump the brakes to stop). Idk...for me it seems to keep up with traffic better that way. :)
Hi Kay Kay, thanks for watching dear! I actually sold the car to my ex-girlfriend since she needed something good on gas. But I've gotta say for the money it's hard to beat. Please Like & Subscribe.
I watched both of your videos I gave them both a thumbs up I have a 2019 mirage G4 es metallic black I like my car but like you said when the wind is blowing outside it pushes your car in other lanes and I can feel the wind whip up underneath my car it's not a good feeling at all the car naturally sits up in the air when you park it on the street and walk away from it and look back at it the car springs makes the car sits up higher the car suspension is just too high up in the air that's why the car it's so little and it's jacked up to where when you're on the highway the wind blows you in different Lanes plus you can feel the wind whip up underneath the car
If it's real windy outside I try not to drive it because it really gets pushed all over the road. I think the car is a great city car but it's not something I wanna take on a long trip. Lol Anyways thanks for watching, please subscribe. :)
I own 2 Mirages, a 2014 DE CVT hatch and a 2017 ES G4 sedan version. Unless your driving in the himalayas with 70mph winds, shear winds are not going to push a Mirage into another lane. That's total bullshit. It's an occasional slight push on an extremely windy day. The exact same thing happens in a Fit, Yaris, Fiesta, Versa, etc. Also I do multiple road trips in my Mirage, its fine. You just get out and stretch every 3 hours or so. Not a big deal.
I have really enjoyed driving this little car, it has all the basics and it's kinda fun to drive. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it! Please Like & SUBSCRIBE :)
Thanks for watching! The mirage probably has a better warranty. I'm not a big fan of Nissan to be honest. At the end of the day it's really up to you and your happiness! Please like and SUBSCRIBE.;)
And you right 14-in wheels can get 15-in wheels and get the tires widened if you ask me my garage car they could have done better with the inside as well and a lot of other stuff they could have done with the car I had my car last June of last year and my car is a good car I'm going to do some stuff to my car but other than that Mitsubishi could have done better when it made a little compact car
Thanks for watching Edward! From what all I've read and seen online most people say that adding a 15 inch wheels and wider tires really helps in the handling department. I imagine to if you lowered it a couple of inches then it would really help.
and one thing I did not get from Mitsubishi I didn't get two keys they told me I was supposed to have got two different keys for my car and plus I did not get the nice red and black manual booklet that you have with all that stuff that comes with it and I'm from Charlotte North Carolina
That sucks you did not get the lil Mitsubishi panplet holder with first aid kit nor 2 keys. They should take care of that and give you both. Im from Maryland but have our Mitsubishis serviced in Altoona PA and that dealer is amazing to everyone I must say the best dealer ai have ever dealt with. Hope your loving yours!
Put a Truck Emergency Brake? 😂 They use to add these armrests as an option. Seems more standard now. The G4 unfortunately has only “Acceptable” side impact ratings, the hatch is rated “Good”. I really wish the rear seat folded like most cars do, instead of that tiny passthrough they added. The hatch is more practical. The rear seat is a little roomier in the G4 is a little larger. Depends on needs. I got over 50 mpg on a few manual models I drove. 42-45 city, 50-55 mpg highway when I drove mellow and not exceeding the limit. Driving over 65 seems illegal, anyway? I never drive over 65. Be careful with tire plus sizes, you can lose mpg and acceleration. If they boosted power it would lose mpg. Better to look at other cars for power increase.
@@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING Try having to do 75 mph all the time while I'm ubering because Atlanta is fast and dangerous city to do gig work in lol. Seriously though after 5k rides my Mirage gets the job done cheap. You get used to the annoying bs like wind shear and being slow off the line because of the fuel savings. You see other gig workers driving SUVs and V6 sedans losing a lot of money in fuel costs. All in all, a decent shitbox! Lol
Best of luck with this car. Rear drums work fine. I'd leave 'em as is. likewise, your instability is a combination of light weight and high stance. Spending $ on wider tires won't help this ... might even make the car twitchier.
The only brake upgrade that I would do is add the Power Stop drilled and slotted rotors and pads to the front because it's only a $100 upgrade. As far as the rear drum brakes, I'm not gonna worry about it because drums are very reliable and its on a 2000 lb car so I shouldn't have any problems. As far as wheels go I will definitely go up to a 15 inch and go with the wider tires because lots of people in the Mitsubishi Mirage forums are getting improved handling. The wider the track width the more stable its gonna be, plus I might even drop it down a inch or two to lower the center of gravity plus it makes the car look better to. All in all I'm pretty pleased with it and I definitely love the MPG's. Thanks 4 watching, please like and SUBSCRIBE. :)
@@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING If you switch to the taller 175 65 r14s you get better handling and less road noise. MPG does drop some though. 165 65 r14 llr tires are expensive, hard to find, and don't grip at all.
Just get good brake pads. Unless you are constantly stomping and heating up your rotors on a race track, the slotted ones do no good. They activity wear out pads faster, too. This car is what it is. Great for what it is.
What is the over all performance of mirage in a a sloppy roads, like going an uphill or something? I hear its incredibly puts lotta force on the engine? Can you please help me here, thanks!!!
I was able to climb mountains with the mirage at highway speeds but your not going to be passing anyone. The motor is a 3 cylinder but it's very reliable but it only puts out like 77hp so it just doesn't have alot of power. Thanks for watching, please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE.
Hi...Nice review! I've read, elsewhere online in other Mirage reviews and road tests, that driving this vehicle is like driving a tin can on wheels. Do you agree with them on that? They may be biased in their opinion of it, I think. What do you think? Please inform. I'd appreciate it. Thanks! ♐
It is definitely like driving a tin can because you can tell it's a cheap car because your able to hear a considerable amount of road noise because there is not much insulation. Plus driving at freeway speeds can be a challenge if the winds blowing or passing a big rig because its light and gets blown around alot easier than most cars. To me this car for the price is a great city car because it's cheap on gas, easy to park, and fun to drive in the city at lower speeds but I wouldn't want to take it on a long highway drive. I encourage you to test drive it and take it on the highway. Thanks for watching and Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE. :)
Maybe as long as you don't get in a wreck because its tiny and as long as you don't do lots of highway driving. Thanks for watching, please Like & Sub.
It doesn't handle very well in curves due to body roll, winds blow it all over the highway and its slow. So that pretty much sums it up. Lol It's a great car for fuel economy, price, reliability and roominess. Thanks for watching! Please like and SUBSCRIBE :)

Love the video. Btw drum brakes on the back are fine on a small car. It stops good and last a long time and are inexpensive to replace.
