great info! I was asking someone else about this mill. Is the price worth buying it for? I can't do a Durston, but then didn't want an economy roll either.
+Jaime Leiberman I have both the Durston and now a Pepetools mill. I am quite impressed with my Pepetools mill. While there are certainly some differences between the Pepe and Durston, I don't know that it is worth the extra cost. And quite frankly, a lot of the extra cost comes from the shipping the mills from the UK.
Thanks for the video Melissa. I have a cheap mill but want to invest in a better one. I want to use it primarily for making sheet and wire stock. Would you recommend this mill for this? Also, why don't mills make round wire? Appreciate any advice you have, thanks!
+Dawna Marquette So far I am loving mine. I am going to be pouring some ingots here pretty soon and I will be able to give a better review on rolling out sheet. The wire stock I have done so far has been easy and wonderful. I expect that rolling sheet will be much the same. I will keep you posted. Dawn, I do believe that Durston came out with one that did round wire. But I haven't ever seen it or tried it out.
For round wire, you go from mill to drawing dies and tongs. I'm sure there is a video for that too.
