Hot Wheels 2023 Mainline Collection - Year In Review

- In this year-end video, we look at every single 2023 Hot Wheels Mainline car and truck in my collection! Join me as we visit the diecast vehicles that entered my collection throughout 2023, identifying casting variations, the various different collector series, and removing the toys from my store display stand. From there I organize and view all of the Mainline series cars on my review table in the Diecast Museum! So many cool castings and different series to collect from Mattel, there is something for everyone! Highlights for me include the Star Wars Luke Skywalker's Land Speeder, Barbie Movie Corvette and GMC Hummer, the entire J-Imports Series featuring Honda, Acura, and Nissan. Also there are more really collectible series to see, including Cars of The '80's, Turbo, Retro Racers, Exotics, Hot Trucks, and Batman just to name a few! Find out which cars I am missing from the 250 released by Mattel over the past year, and help me out by leaving a comment if you have any additional information to share!

The Matt & Debbie Hayes Thunderbird was originally built as a pink and silver Pro-Street car back in the 1980s. Any other colour is "artistic license". 😉

My favorite Licensed and Hot Wheels original castings both came from 2023 Art Cars. The Greenwood Corvette and the Cloak and Dagger. Loved the showcase. can't wait for you to crack them open and and put them in display case.
This year has not been bad, mainlines and premium wise! I enjoyed most of what it had to offer and i am sure you did to :)

It has been a really good year for Hot Wheel Mainlines, and 2024 will probably be even better (i heard that they'll release close to 100 new models in 2024!). Also lots of good stuff in Premium lines, mainly car Culture and Boulevard. Thanks for the review!

From Hot Wheels Wiki regarding the Braille cars. _This casting was created in partnership with the National Federation of the Blind and features Braille text on the blister reading "HOT WHEELS TWIN MILL". Braille text on the two sides read "Twin" and "Mill" respectively. The rear of the body reads "#68"_
There is also a blue barbie corvette and a "Ken" EV Hummer.
Don’t know yet if I regret it or not but I did come across an open box of of those Barbie Corvette that was half full of only the Barbie Corvettes. The only thing I took of it was a photo and I bought a couple of them from the pegs.

For the factory fresh series you were missing, the Ducati motorcycle treasure hunt in white. And in the motorcycle series you were missing the BMW treasure hunt in blue

The series at 10:10 is not HW ss Race Team it’s actually HW 55 Race team because Hot Wheels has been around for 55 years.

I personally never open my cars. I did when I was a kid, back in '69-'73 when I got real Red Lines for gifts (still have them all). When I started collecting as an adult, I decided to keep them pristine in the packaging. If I was rich, I would have bought 2 of everything and opened 1, but I'm not a diehard collector anyway, I only buy real cars with normal paint jobs. If they have goofy graphics, I don't bother.
You do whatever you want. I collect my cars how I get them. If I get them carded they stay carded. If I have duplicates I open one so I have one carded and one loose to enjoy.
I don't keep most packaging, only the packaging for certain Premium lines, although really I'm not sure why as I just started to do that this year. The value of the cars will likely be slightly higher when kept in original packaging, but only if packaging is in really good condition. I don't collect for resale, so I truly do enjoy opening up the cars as they often display much nicer that way, and are just a lot more fun to hold and look at when LOOSE> :) Hope that helps you!

RLC Exclusive 2023 Mainline Factory-Sealed Set do you think its worth paying the after market prices for this box? And what can a person actually make knowing the Treasure Hunts, etc.
I find the RLC aftermarket to be very expensive, but if you really like them, then I guess you will have to pay for them at higher prices then if found in the first few minutes before Mattel sold out on RLC website....
@@wtfforat $2 per car, which is the secondary market pricing I don't find that to be very expensive. You paid $1.40 per car.

There is an android app that keeps track of your hot wheels, but the interface is slow and takes a long time to log all your cars. But it's worth it to avoid buying doubles.
in which month hot wheels mainlines are released??
They are sold in case codes alphabetically from A to S throughout the year, so multiple mainline new cars are released every few weeks (less then a month)
You missing my favorite Jackhammer. The other wagons are gonna be hard for you to find. especially the pink 510 Datsun Bluebird wagon that also was a STH. very nice version of the car. I hope you find it. Surf Crate from Surf's up was a TH and probably very hard to find this time of year. You are in fact missing the Silver Mustang SVO. Also missing the first Metallic blue/grey DeLorean which I thought looked nicer than the flat dark blue. Subaru got three colors. So did Tee'd Off Two, Track Manga and Hot Wheels High, though I don't know why? probably over production. Missing the red Nissan Z, and Satin Blue Honda CRX. . For JDMs you missing the '73 Honda Civic Custom(2) and Mazda Cosmo Sport(1). For Roadsters you missing Roadster Bite in loud neon Orange. Missing 3 cars in drag strip. Rockin Railer brand new dragster type car with rockin' motor, '79 Chevy Chevette(first time in Mainline) and Mad Fast T.H. Another dragster type from 2010's. For Muscle mania you missing the three HW originals castings. Twinduction, Count Muscula, and Mod Speeder. Nice muscular looking track cars. The Matt black SRT Demon was the best version. Modified and Turbo sets had some great cars this year.

Also to REALLY complete it the supra is a STH ...an the el camino i think has a yellow Kroger store exclusive...there isent a Kroger near me for 800 miles Lol....as for any others not sure .
Ahh variations ..message to hot wheels an MB too..if your only doing plastic mold " variations" then please stop ...cant care about it ..wish they would at least do simple wheel variations or something ..Matchbox too..had a station wagon with differnt Removable roof racks with different gear ..so the car is the same no matter what ...its just lame .

Romania...and i notice that only for America is a variant of te 80s' EL CAMINO(my favorite car) YELLOW...only available on ,,dollar general,, !is there any chanse that variation to be in europe? thank you very much! ,,stima fina,, (means respect) in romanian=)

Just info on Then an Now all cars i belive this year are the same colors like a twin ish paint job .

The Toyota is a Now .
The then is a pretty ,same off white but its a Regular TH l
Land cruiser pick up truck ..the dodge is a 69 dodge charger
The other Tesla is the original roadster..slash lotus tesla lol..its the
same color orange too
