@@crazywaderacing4659 It is about 320 km/hour (accordingly, it is about 200 miles/hour)... Turboshaft engine with 2700 horsepower is used...The engine is taken from "Chinook" helicopter.
Hopefully we will see you back here in Detroit in 2023. The Roostertail Turn! Congratulations on your win. Sorry about the loss of your Father. He was with you!
I would like for see a Race Rewind video done for the rest of the races as well. I realize the people who run the H1Unlimited channel on RUclips are mostly volunteers; but a little consistency in the presentations would be nice. Should've been done long before now.
During the milling period, The boat cut out on Jimmy for a brief period. But, due to APBA rules, the boats have to maintain a minimum track speed of 80 MPH. The rule was implemented to keep drivers from shutting down the boats or crawling to establish lane positions, thus keeping the boats moving and fighting for their positions respectively. And, because the boat cut out, it brought him below the 80 mph minimum, thus incurring the flagrant speed violation. There has been controversy with the rule, but ultimately it is for the better as it keeps drivers from trying to cheat it for lanes. Jimmy Shane definitely ran a fast race and, undoubtedly, was the strongest driver in that run. But the rules are in place for a reason. It is just an unfortunate side effect to the nature of the sport vs the rules. Corey Peabody is still a fantastic driver though. And Jimmy Shane ultimately secured the National High Points Championship for Miss Madison in 2022. Both drivers are fantastic.
Great accomplishment, Your father saw the whole race from the best seat in the house. Congrats and RIP Mr. Peabody
What an appropriate win….very emotional…much love❤️🙂🙏
I started doing water-motor sports in 1968 at the Central Water Sports Club of the USSR Navy.

Gogo jimmy
To bad they allowed turbines. I miss the sound of roaring combustion engines I quit following UHR. (
Those bi 12 cylinder aircraft engines were the best.
What was Shane disqualified for cause all I saw was he had the best and fastest boat out there.

What is the top speed these boats are reaching?
Fastest is about 200mph, but average 150ish mph on most courses
Boats are slow
I've seen a big cat from Quatar turn 244 mph on the strait away at "The Shoot Out" several years ago.
