This lighting mod is adjustment for "quenching mod", so you may install it first.
I have adjust lighting and color effect and update the mod of this version.You can checkout my latest video to see the visual effects.
The mod file contains three different graphic looks.

You may just use this without install "quenching mod".

it amazes me how much the community of this game still cares it amazes me that no matter how hard blizzard tries to kill this game the fans dont give up

My only critisism is that the Re - Reforged ones looks too desaturated and is kinda of hard to see details when everything is so bright and white.
Same opinion here, it heavily reduces visual clarity, which is super important with a game with so many different unit types.
I couldn't imagine how painful that desaturation would look on the icy terrain types. So many things would just be a blurr.
Its a cartoony game, it should look a little bit cartoony in proportions and vibrant colors.
there is way too much global/ambient light, it is causing everything to look too bright. i dont think the reforged engine supports HDR either, so they have to adjust things to look good in both light/dark areas simultaneously (which wont look good)
that, and the frame dips during the transitions between gameplay and the cutscenes are kind of insane

There's SOME issues with it, some of the cinematics were a little choppy... but it's still 1000x better than the stock game.
The lighting mod alone does wonders.
Yeah, the new cinematics seem choppy, but that might due to Blizzard's own bad optimization as well. I particularly didn't like the very white lighting, but does give everything a cohesive feeling. The TREES ARE AMAZING.
@@joaocaju3061 The game lags and gets choppy because it's struggling to load in graphics barely adequate for 2020 in an engine made like 23 years ago. Literally nothing changed. Blizz says that they "Remade the WC3 engine", but other than allocating more memory to utilize, there's no difference whatsoever. That's as simple as going into the code and just changing numbers, I mean a child with no programming experience whatsoever could do that with as simple as instructions saying which numbers needed to change. It appalls me that Blizz is constantly shooting themselves in the foot.

i don't like the fan's lighting but i don't like the official realistic looks of units that blizzard went with either. So I think the lighting does actually gives cohesion to the artstyle and graphics.

I love to see when fans try and fix mistakes made by Blizz. 🙂 I love how the NPCs got some extra personality when the camera shifted into a more cinematic interaction, and even though it was a bit choppy, I can see what the creator tried to do. 🙂
However, I couldn't help noticing the extreme color grading that felt quite a bit off. 😅 One of the things fans of WoW love, is the "saturated cartoony look" it has, and I feel that the MOD creator tried to make the cartoony assets feel a bit more "life like/realistic" in post-processing. If the desaturated filter was removed, and the MOD maintained the "WoW look", I would have loved to see this in the actual game. 🙂

Yeah the colors were not very vibrant at all. That would be my main complaint. Secondly the cutscenes just take away from the immersion of the game imo
Ah yes, if only Blizzard had faith for their product we have gotten something good...but they failed.
Blizzard should just give us the source codes for the game. Fans will fix it and give it the respect it deserve.

It looks infinitely better than the actual game, but it's got a few things that ruin everything. The lighting is one I can think of at the top of my head.
the different color shading makes it look like it’s in the middle of summer in Lordaeron! i personally love this look you made for the re-reforged

Warms my old veteran heart when I see this. I do think the fan-made look takes it a bit away from the nostalgic cartoonish-yet-gritty look the classic had, but it has surpassed even the game we were promised ngl!

I am proud of this fan's work. He or she (I don't know who did it) did a great job! I applaud their efforts. Blizzard, on the other hand, disappoints me. To say they dropped the ball on this project is an understatement. They filled a semi-truck with bowling balls and drove it off a cliff.

Quenching mod does pretty much the same. It does have updated textures, lightning, reflections and the cinematic camera.
The only problem it has is that it may or may not mess with some custom maps (so far, only pumpkin td seems to be affected).
Can it work on original wc3 client?

Amazing From Fans, Though, a bit less cinematic than one would expect, still does better in showing itself as a true remaster, in comparison to the reskin and lagging of reforged!
It amazes me how fan made stuff, or modders always outdo corporations sometimes.

Oh yeah, washing out the colors really helps it...
Only negative is that it's too washed out, original has a more colorful fantasy vibe which is what the right one is missing.
just adding maybe a tiny bit more saturation would be amazing!
I actually wonder if changing the video settings could also help this as well, cuz it may still be possible to get closer to the proper coloration by messing with the sliders. That said, this and the framerate stutter are the only real drawbacks, but even with that they put so much more talent and effort into realizing a finalized product than Blizz themselves did.
Man, this level of details, it is just amazing, how just usual people care more than a big company.
Honestly, great job for the fans.

To be honest the fan made version is bit too bright to a point it hurts my eyes. I don't say it's bad but please give it some dark colours.
U could always tweak the in-game settings....
True , I prefer the original cause it's easier to distinguish your units from enimie's, but I'm willing to pay $80 for the fan made version

the only thing also needed in reforged to to fix a couple of the mobile game lookin models and it will become pure perfection
They should just hand over the whole IP to InsaneMonster, blizzard doesn’t respect their own IP’s unlike the modders
the fact fans still love and care about this game so much that they're able to churn out that kind of content is a testament to how much blizzard fucked up. they could have made so much, instead they just burnt their reputation and the community's goodwill.

Blizzard stopped caring about anything but the bottom line the moment the company was bought by lawyers. The people involved in this masterpiece remake are true blooded fans.

well 2021 was laggy and bleack by its visuals but still nice work on how to present a scene and not just slap subtitles over gameplay and call it a scene like it was done in the 2020.
The cinematics and all are fantastic, but why the hard change in overall graphic? That was one of the few things that reforged did good on and makes Warcraft Warcraft.

I think Blizzard were more so trying to keep it as a updated graphics of the original, like if the originals art style happened today.
