Love watching you with your family and father, watching the little guy grow up before my eyes. Man I they grow up quickly! I recently watched the guy's at C&C Equipment replace the Dozer blade ball and socket because it was worn out, the sad part is that their socket was in better shape than yours😢😢. His son cut the old one off and rewelded the new socket on the blade. They're supposed to have Shims for adjustment! Hope you find some time to watch some of their Videos as it might help you with all your machines.😮😅😊. Glad no one got hurt with all the stuff you worked on. Always keep blades on the ground, please 😂. I was crushed by a loader 19 years ago so I know what I'm talking about. Thx for the awesome video.❤❤😊

Always release hydraulic pressure before undoing pipes, safety bar up ignition on and move the levers. If it has a pressure relief on the tank then release pressure there too. Otherwise you may really hurt yourself one day. The hoses can literally blow off.

Hello, One observation. I believe the filter you are referring to at 1:01:37 is indeed a filter/water separator. Looks exactly like a RACOR unit. If it is they have either a 3, 10, or 30 micron element. This is determined by the color of the characters embossed on the filter itself. I would definitely take the lid off and change the element. They also have a bowl on the bottom of the housing that unscrews. I would remove that and clean it especially after seeing the condition of the other two fuel filters. I would recommend replacing the element with a genuine RACOR Filter kit as it comes with all the o-rings. After installing the new element refill the filter housing with clean fuel to just below the top and put your lid back on. I hope this helps.

The diode is a flyback diode
connected across an inductor used to eliminate flyback (voltage spikes across inductive loads.
Therefore you must connect positive and negative the right way

    • @ProtonOne11
      @ProtonOne11 Месяц назад +1

For the more mechanical minds, you can imagine an inductor in an electrical circuit kinda act like a turbine fan in a water pipe. If you put power thru it, at first the turbine blades stand still and restrict the flow until they start spinning with the flow. Once you remove the input pressure, the inertia of the spinning turbine blades keep on pushing water thru the pipe, creating pressure. That pressure that gets created once you remove the input power needs to be "removed", or it will blow up the pipe. Thats what that diode does in the connector, it leaks down the pressure that gets created once you remove the input presure.
Not the perfect analogy, but can help you try to understand what happens in the electric circuit.

i believe those oddball drain valves have another section that attaches to a hose, so you can quick connect a hose to drain the fluids. Im not a heavy equipment guy but I think ive seen them somewhere before. i think you can just replace them with a normal plug, or you might be able to get a replacement hose half. Oh and btw...i was about to get really angry if you didnt at least show a little bit of pushing dirt lol. That thing seems to work pretty good, congrats!

Talk to yourself when disassembling, what part, what bolts comes from where, what hose goes to where, rehearse the order of disassembly and future reassembly for each component before going forward to the next phase. A good mechanical memory takes practice using memory techniques and is a mechanic's most beneficial tool. You will be able to put all nuts, bolts, washers in one, two or three containers and know exactly where they all came from. (If the brain is not altered by a foreign substance lol)
Excruciating to watch things being done the hard way and the wrong way.
Before you take a hammer to the pin, Use emory cloth on the rusted pin before you start trying to push it thru. Rust increases the interference fit. Grind the pin end into a slight taper because it gets mushroomed and will create more interference and will get stuck inside of the bore. Use a smaller diameter drive pin. And grease the pin before you push it thru.
Emory paper the rust off the pin before you force it back in covered with rust. Again, Rust expands and creates too much interference. Run a hone thru the bore. And grease it.
Power wash when the cab is tilted. Power was before you get into it. You won't introduce mud and rocks into the components.

Are you interested in an Insley Excavator? It’s sitting in the thumb North of Imlay City at my nephews house. It does start and run, but hasn’t been moved in years. It is cool and would be quite the project.

All that work on the blade pin and no wire wheeling the pin or antisieze when putting it back together, grease nothin!? 🤷🏼‍♂️ but hopefully it’ll never have to come out again 😂 I wish I could find a good deal on a dozier like that even if it does need some tlc 🤘🏼

I did clean everything up nicely and greased it. Just didn’t show it. Keep looking! There are a lot of dozers out there… just gotta be persistent!!

After u had and got the ball hitch-out, why didn't u get the paint off of the part, put grease on it then put it back-on. alot of work doing it the wrong way.. heat both sides.

That diode is suppose to keep from reverse polarity. It shouldn't have blown, unless it was under rated, or bad.
At 2:34:00, shouldn't you sand or grind that bolt off?

You shouldn't beat on pins, they round off on the edges then they don't fit through the bushings.

I guess this is gonna turn out to be a real good deal for $2k!? Keep chipping away at it piece by piece until you get all the bugs worked out & its all working well. Nice seeing Luke calling out Dada - you gotta love that man.... he'll be running a machine soon enough, right after hes out of diapers!😂 Its cool having your Dad take him out on rides in the TD, he'll*never* ever forget stuff like that!
Anyways Happy Holidays to you and the family!
Oh yeah btw I didn't see the infamous dropped washer-gate '24 in the beginning but its obviously not leaking so you must've got it sealed up properly(6+ months ago, way back when you did that😆). You seem to have it well under control!🤷🏻‍♂️👍🏻👌🏻✌🏻🛠️🔧🔩🚜🎅🏻❄️☃️🎄🎁
Maybe consider doing shorter [than 3+ hrs] video & break into parts, cause I think this long video may hurt your view counts as its a long time for most impatient people nowadays to sit still this long to continue watching the whole thing. Idk what you get credit for as far as watching length(do u get credit for viewing at 5mins, an hour, or the whole thing??). I would watch no matter what but I think many viewers are short attention span viewers that stick to 45min(or less?) to a hour long max videos is the 'good length'. I'm sure theres more statistical data out there on this somewhere on the interwebs. I would think it'd be better for you to post 2 or 3 seperate shorter videos rather than test viewership with the longer form. I mean theres so many people out there that can't even concentrate long enough to watch a whole-minute-long tic-tock\short all the way to its end! Idk Tyler, I'm just giving my .02¢ for what its worth, not trying to offend. I appreciate all the time & effort you put into this stuff & want to see you suceed & gain all that you possibly can from your efforts!👍🏻🤔🤐
