Top Safety Pick+ Cars - IIHS Rating 2017
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 ноя 2024
- To qualify for 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the five crashworthiness tests, an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention and an acceptable or good headlight rating.
Vehicles with optional front crash prevention qualify for either award only when equipped with the technology.
That music is making me insane.
Love how the volvos basically went around the wall. A few others did as well. Seems they must have some sort of internal structure helping the car to glance off the impact instead of hitting and pivoting on hard impact.
FYI... Volvo "proposed this test " by first showcasing it on their MY (Model Year) 2013 S60 . So Volvo's vehicle will do better than most if not all OEMs (w.r.t - small overlap crashes). The reason: the "structural elements" of the front end in Volvo cars were patented to withstand this test. Given below is the link of the official Volvo USA website.
www.media.volvocars.com/us/en-us/media/pressreleases/137091/volvo-s80-sedan-awarded-2014-iihs-top-safety-pick
Speaking of "Proposing test".... a lot of OEM's indulge in this exercise. Reason: It is a way to show you have a "superior product" already equipped to withstand "stringent regulations/tests".
Idiot, do you not know what a tesla is?
@@gotdemnoscopez idiot, do you not know what a Model S is? The Model S didn’t get a good rating…
@@gotdemnoscopez idiot do you not know that volvo is consider one of the safest car maker in the world you idiot
2:38 one of the most satisfying crashes
Lol BIG WHEEL AND TIRE POP OUT
The g90 is a litteral tank.
Does anyone find all the slow mo shots satisfying?
yes
I do☺
I find the right shattering satisfying
No
Yes
Somewhat inaccurate video, for example the 2017 C-Class received a IIHS top safety pick+ and is not listed. The 2017 Ford F-150 received a IIHS top safety pick+ and is not listed. This video COULD have been helpful to someone looking to purchase a safe new car if you would have included all of the top safety picks...
Wesley Oswalt date of the video is before 2017 btw
Wesley Oswalt the c class’s iihs isn’t on the top safety pick list anymore, poor headlights
The audi Q5 has a satisfying crash sound 0:43
I couldn't help laughing at 5:13 when the Nissan logo flew off the Rogue.
Same LOL so funny
it was straight up flying away like a bird XD
Good video, but thumbs down for not showing the interior footage.
wtf is with the music!!

The Lexus is beautiful even when getting smashed
The Buick Envision seemed to struggle in the small-overlap crash. The driver's head slid off the frontal airbag and into a gap of coverage between the front and side curtain airbags.
1:55 The Ridgeline actually was surprisingly impressive on this test.
These tests illustrate the forces related to serious auto accidents.
6:47 wrong year,it was 2012 test. The design of the volvo cars had a big difference after few years and on the door panel, you can see it wrote 2012 Volvo S60.
Same situation withe XC60.Sorry for my grammar mistakes.
Everyone knows that Volvo kills all competition. To make these tests more fair they use older Volvo cars?
Not sorry lol
It was the same generation Volvo S60 and XC60, so the results would be similar for the 2017 models.
Both Volvo's and Nissan Rouge were one step higher then others.
Subaru Legacy had the lowest impact force recorded and ZERO real life deaths. If you look closer, impact force was so low, the windshield stayed almost intact.
VNL 670 no Subaru in this case is Top 1 Nissan Rouge at Top 4 Volvo was Top 2 Follow by rest are standard safety vehicles
Volvo is allways one step ahead when it comes to saftey
lol at least most of these cars r Asian vehicles that passed. Like if ur Asian
Volvo is the safest. It's not about how little damage the car takes, it's about how slow it can come to a stop after impact. Remember, it's not the crash that kills you (90% of the time that is), it is the sudden stop that violently shakes and smashes your brain and organs inside your body that kills.
So if you look at the volvo cars compared to the others, the volvo keeps on going in the forward direction even after the crash. If this happened in real life with a volvo, you would likely walk away without even a bruise. With the others... you would "survive" but would definitely feel the weight of the crash.

Hello the crash sound is more beautyful than the Mozart sound please stop Mozart or Beethoven
Nothing hurts that barrier. How can it be so strong?
my brand new 1987 honda accord was listed at 7:13
A commentary would be informative. This just seems to show cars getting bashed up in a voyeuristic way
Did you need to add the music
can i have one of the cars? any one. im sure people womt notice if you take one out for next year
Seriously? No Fords? I thought the F-150 got a Top safety Pick+
Link to this information?
Schon239 dude IT get a Top Safety Pick for 2016 not 2017
That doesn't prove anything, & it's basically the same thing, why would it not get a TSP?
& I see you deleted your comment, lol.
Schon239 so I just don't want this video to be in full spac
Now you're just saying gibberish at this point, I don't have time for you anymore.
Have a good day.
Lots of Lexus!
There are test from 2013, 2015, 2016... Please do not misguide people
That's true, however, those vehicles have a similar structure to the 2017 models, so a similar result could be expected.
Don't really see any American made vehicles. That's saying something.

OK, you win. Happy? But overall you know what I meant, you just took it to a literal sense.

stop being rude and racist
The Toyota Rav4 got a poor on the other side of the test!
All of these test are faulty! I don't know of any road with a surface like the kind they are testing on, tire will grip an asphalt road more and cause more damage and flip overs! I do understand the use of the surface they test on, it makes collecting up the debris easier. but its throwing off the test!
It's not the ground dose not matter
Just change them tires with the spare and you're good to go😂
Genesis was created by hyundai but thwy are nit hyundais

who really pays for these cars?
the manufacturers.
IIHS themselves, they are funded by insurance companies for safety data hence the name Insurance Institute for Highway Saftey.
