I adore listening to people's thought processes with builds. You did a great job explaining what you were thinking. I'd love to see more of these videos, either with niche builds or a new hero you never tried before!
Mirage was a pretty easy build for me. His 3 is so low CD, that you put on his spirit section mystic slow and bullet resist shredder. Makes it so you can shoot someone, hit your 3 and they are instantly weaker to your bullets and slowed. Then you just build in basic vitality options like fortitude, both kinds of armor, bullet life steal, and leech. Then for his weapon portion: Headhunter, Crippling headshot, burst fire, lucky shot, rapid rounds, and pristine emblem. Hit your 1, hit your 2, shoot them in the head, as soon as they're released from the lift, you chase them down and keep hitting your 3 every time you tap them.
Love the "How to do Builds" mini series. I created my first build (Haze) a while ago and fought with the build editor (how to change the size of the categories, how to set the ability points etc). :D And I still struggle sometimes to understand the abilities of a hero (how the scaling works) and to decide what kind of build makes the most sense for them for my play style. But I guess that's kind of the beauty of "trial and error" with this game, isn't it?
Great video. Would love to see you go over a build then provide an example game using the build, that way you could demonstrate where you stick more strictly to the build and when you would deviate.
@@AverageJonas My immediate thought when I saw this video was need to see it in action. Just watched the follow up video, for someone new to this genre its so valuable. Thanks man!
I actually made my first build on Mirage just before this came out so sadly didn't get the tips. Build worked out well though after a few games of trial and error and now Mirage might be my main for the meantime
Crazy that in the last video i saw, i suggested ricochet but you kinda shot it down, and now its in this build. Not lighting you up! Glad to see your mind is flexible enough to change this fast. Its early to tell if its good, but happy to see you have similar reasoning. I am new to deadlock, but i am a seasoned moba player so it made sense.
Nono I said its for Spirit build! I am back to not using Ricochet and playing gun build now as I personally like it much better. I still think this makes him scale way too slowly for his toolkit but I just wanted to show an alternative way to make a build:) sorry for the confusion
Just to clarify my reasoning was that early ricochet makes him much weaker in fights and he is one of the strongest early game chars so I personally would not buy it, but if you want to play a build focused on his 3 dmg then it makes sense
@@AverageJonasCould you potentially share the name of that gun build for me to use :)? Or is it the Sharky build in your mobalitics page you are using?
@@AverageJonas thanks for the response. Love your channel. Ive missed this kind of content. Fun and quirky builds or general building in league was also huge in the early seasons but disappeared as league fumbled their items and streamlined the playstyle of their characters... Deadlock is a breath of fresh air and you remind me of that bygone era.
Ricochet's value comes from being able to apply on hit effects to multiple targets. The issue with ricochet in gun damage builds is that headshot damage doesn't ricochet.
My biggest issue is those situationals like barriers/reactive barrier/silence glyph the 1250-3k soul items you flex due to matchup, and how they interact with thr core build you have..its the hardest part for me
I mean if you gonna play for the passive why not prioritize base spirit power since the passive make it exponentially better ? Items like improved spirit or related, you gain base 20 dmg but on one 8x that is 160 and more if you include the spirit amp
Hey, im wondering how can i make binds for example for double bomb bebop with echo shard after last patch? They removed those binds and they aint working no more. Is there any option to cast 2 spell + item (v) on the same time? like it was with those binds?

Making your own build can also help provide perspectives on how flexible every hero can be in filling most roles

no ricochet?
@Taziod His 3 is being used only to shred his current target. It's too expensive for that little damage.
if you're not getting ganks then he has no farm w/o ricochet i think
Hey Honas, first time playing the hero, used your spirit build and ended 17-0 and 50k damage in 27 minutes lol, youre cracked!!!

I made a build very similar to this. Mystic Reverb is amazing.
Do on-hit slow effects stack, and if so how? (Additive/Multiplicative)
Most effects in the game are multiplicative!

Is applying quicksilver reload on his 3 good?
Yes, you don't even activate his 3rd 99% of the time (unless you use 3rd to do that 1 sec slow combo), so it's best you put QR on 3rd.
Can you check my own Mirage's build? Build name: Mirage build | TheAZ
