A question. I've two charango, but they aren't "good" instruments. I'd like to buy a professional instrument with good sound, good wood and solid mechanics. Do you have any suggestions for me? Did you buy your instrument somewhere on the internet? Is it a P. Quispe Torres professional instrument l? Thank You!

you can contact the luthier directly
also there are many makers just look out for the wood to not be baked in an oven to speed up the drying process charango mall is a site of knock offs from what I have heard the "not the actual luthiers work"

      Hi Andrea,
The best is to buy directly from the luthier themselves, when possible, and there are many great ones.
Where are you located? If I know of any charango luthiers in your region I'm happy to share a couple names of luthiers with you.
Good charangos can sometimes be hard to come by.
I can suggest a charango made by Pedro Quispe Torrez. Solid luthier work, you can see his catalog on his website charangos.net/ and contact him directly if interested in having one made +591 79140356. He has made custom charangos for 2 of my charango students and they were really happy.
My charango took me 1.5 years to find, because I was in Italy at the time. I ended up buying it from a Sicilian who had recently returned from La Paz, Bolivia -
and this charango had been custom made for him. So I didn't buy in on the internet. I tried it in person and loved it.
      Good luck in finding one!
