Thanks for your kind words. This D is a variation of the D major triad (which would be played 22202). When we play D with the variation here (02200), the notes per string are G,D,F#,A,E and we could call it a D(add4, add9). Much easier to play indeed! See mention of this chord at 0:13 in video too :) It's not a D7. And feel free to book a charango lesson with me if you'd like to dive in deeper (at honeybird.net ) .
