At my old house when i was around 4 (im now 13) my mum promised me one last swim in the pool before we left and i ended up not getting a last swim. I will never ever let that down. And she knows it.
My best friend is a Scorpio, and while he's so damn patient, I've witnessed him completely cut out people because they pissed him off one too many times. He does the same with anyone who hurts his friends, if you did anything to make the people he cares about feel bad, purposefully or not, your existence is irrelevant to him. That being said, he's still such a lovely person, the most passionate person I know, and the truest friend I've had.
Erin Cotton I've seen him be like that a couple times, despite all my efforts of separating him from those people. Being a Pisces, I understand the emotional side of it all, especially when it comes to those you have an attachment to. Unfortunately, I hate confrontation and fear that I might come off as possessive, jealous, or something of that sort, so I'm not the best person to interfere with things like that.
Erin Cotton Scorpios and Pisces, from what I've experienced, tend to be perceived as soulmates of sorts, and I really do think that's because of the genuine understanding and emotional connection the two signs can have between each other. A Scorpio is able to shield the more nervous Pisces, while the Pisces is such a strong nurturer and can truly help the Scorpio break down the walls they've built around themselves. They compliment each other so well, and are really able to provide each other with comfort and support. Personally, I've always found it hard to really become friends with people, mostly due to how anxious I am, but as soon as I connected with my Scorpio best friend, I immediately felt safe.
Erin Cotton I'm in the same boat. We've known each other for nearly two years, but really became connected in early 2017. We've been through a lot, and have had a lot of friends since then, but we've consistently stayed with and supported each other through it all. I can't imagine how my life would be without him, other than knowing I wouldn't have all the happiness he's given me. I could see us being close friends for most our lives, even if we end up thousands of miles away from each other. I truly love him with all my heart, and he's shown me a realm of friendship and care that I've never experienced before.

I'm a Scorpio and the reason I hold grudges is, I feel the sadness and anger in my body so intensely, I physically cannot deal with the person who hurt me bad. I often wonder how many professional assassins are scorpios? We are bold, cold, and calculating.
I just close the door and do my best to completely avoid them & let the time heal the wound but depending on the deepest of the wound I feel them dead in my heart and only then I don't feel anything toward them no love, no hate. And I think is better than holding grudges.

Im a scorpio and I found out I was betrayed a few years after the fact. I went straight to the person and confronted them to give them a chance to redeem themselves and not completely fall from my eye. But they played stupid and denied everything. I walked away and blocked that person everywhere. Even after their millionth phone call and lots of messages later, I never answered and never will do again.
That doesnt mean I hold a grudge. I actually wish him well, just the hell away from me!

Sometimes when we say something like "I will never love you again" it isnt necessarily meant to hurt you, but to try and convey what sort of hurt you've inflicted unto us. If it hurts you in turn, thats just a nice side effect.
When my Scorpio wife goes shopping I'll sometimes get a call with her going critical mass over an idiot driver or feeling she was slighted by someone at whatever store. I let her vent which calms her down somewhat but then I have to hear the story again when she gets home and her eyes turn blue to grey and the basilisk stare of destruction begins as she recalls the event. (Much to my amusement.) If she's quiet, that's when I get worried. On the other hand they are some of the most tender, insightful and loving people you can meet once you're worthy of that beautiful gaze.
Hopefully you read this but you misunderstood your ex. When he told you he'll always care for you but never love you again he wasn't trying to hurt you (though a part of him definitely wanted to). He was letting you know how badly you hurt him, and how scared he was of experiencing that again with you. So he accepted the "truth" you showed him and would be moving on.
He was saying even though his love was (and in a sense always will be) deep and true for you, he felt you clearly didn't feel the same via your action to (I presume) immediately date someone else after breaking up. Like you just moved on, no problem, as if he never really mattered to you. And because of this, he could never risk letting you re-enter his heart and life again (romantically at least).
Now I don't know if he was right for saying this, but based off of what you said I can tell that's at least what he meant.
Also about the fear of being upgraded that your spoke of. Scorpios don't fear being upgraded, they fear learning that someone didn't care for them the way they did for that person. Since that's what upgrading is, not caring (unless that friend being upgraded is toxic).

I’m a Scorpio, and if I feel very betrayed by someone I trusted and cared about, we need to have an honest conversation about it where the other person takes accountability for their actions. I’ll take accountability for anything I did wrong, too. I’ll be super irritated if the person knows I’m upset and tries to fix it by buying me gifts or trying to flatter me, because to me it seems like they’re trying to sweep a big problem under the rug by using charm. I might enjoy being around them but I’ll know they will let me down again if the problem is never addressed. Not being able to have serious talks is emotionally weak in my opinion, and I’ll reconsider if they’re worth having in my life.
I think it has to do with the maturity of a person and self esteem. I have never bullied anyone I am the one stand up for the underdogs. It's true that if I am done with people I am done. I don't have energy to deal with drama and waste my time. I never harm anyone. I believe everyone is free to be who they are. Not every Scorpio is the same since we have other planets and houses to determine our individuality. All people value loyalty, honesty, trust and respect in all relationships.

As a Scorpio I've found the best way to deal with people who disappoint me or hurt me in some way is not to go after them,(it may be unconscious on their part) they just cease to exist...I never confront them or waste my time explaining what they did, I just stop talking to them..Sometimes depending on the person, I'll use the three strike method because I know it can be hard for people to rise to the level of expectation that Scorpios hold so high, but if they continue to behave in such a way I deem unacceptable there's no coming back from that. Some people would prefer an argument to this!!!

As a Scorpio, I can definitely approve of this. We are a sign that is very secretive and if you earn our trust, don't ever break it. When it comes to me personally being mad at people, I usually just completely cut them off from my life and never speak to them again until I feel like they have changed and are approachable. We do this a lot even if we cut off the wrong people or for our jealousy. But it's only because we have a hard time opening up to people and I also feel like we are afriad of being broken by the people that we love. That is also why our circle of people that we love is so small because trust is a major thing to us. I also noticed that a lot of Scorpios, including myself have abandonment issues and are afriad of being abandoned and that's why we get jealous when seeing others love the people that we love.
I don't know if any other Scorpios can agree with this but this is my view as a Scorpio. What do you think?

It was over text and reading the words 'its best we dont talk' had never crossed my mind. What did cross my mind was 'hope I can marry this girl one day'. While it never worked after 3 times, we remained close friends...and it never occurred to me that the day would come when he would ever leave back to his hometown and find another girlfriend - nor tell me that she'd give him the ultimatum of choosing between me and her, in which he'd choose her...
This was a guy I dated with (12/19/2007 - 3/9/2008, 12/12/2008 - 1/12/2009 and 6/23 - 8/1/2009)...this was a guy who I was friends with (9/10/2007) before we ever dated and someone who saw what I went through - good and bad...this was a guy who I talked about my life with - especially the traumatizing events of my life up to that timespan (2007-2008) - we would prepare to move out into the real world throughout 2009...this was a guy who met my parents, grandparents and a few of my aunts...this was a guy whom I had in my future, wanting to have a life and who I wanted to have kids with...
We met at a vocational school where we not only learnt a trade, but we learnt how to be independent and learn social skills...
He was lost to me on 2/26/2014...yet, it occurred to me on Valentine's Day of that year...I wanted to see him again since I hadn't seen him in almost 5 years...and as it was a beginning of a new year, I wanted to start with making an improvement on our friendship which I had started to notice deteriorate into "penpals/acquaintance", and I wanted to revive those feelings of being friends again, with me.
Needless to say, upon saying my goodbye - for the final time, it made me feel nothing - he never tried to be a friend to me, nor did he seem to want to keep me around as a friend...but when it sunk in, it hit me hard...so much so, that throughout the year, it gradually almost destroyed me...first, I spent most of that year crying...I never knew a day in any month of that year, when I didn't cry - even waking up and start bawling...or crying myself to sleep...among other symptoms of depression...ven when I found a new job (7/2 - 8/22/2014), or went to Canada for vacation - 10/2 - 11/2/2014), I wanted to tell him about it - especially when we - my mom and I were travelling through Stockton, California(where he was from)...but I had to remind myself that he was no longer around...the suicidal thoughts came later; I couldn't seem to hold onto anything - a friend, a job, and I watched my mom's own relationship end in front of me - and he used her for what he wanted to get (financially)...and I was basically doing nothing with my life nor for anyone...and I couldn't seem to get out of the black hole I was in...and I thought about ending my life...what kept me from doing that, was the thought of my cat...I didn't want to leave her all alone with nobody to take care of her, or for her to be thrown from home to home, or taken back to the shelter I got her from, or to be put out onto the streets...that saved me;
After a whole year, I thought and felt it best to just care about him as a regular human being...never again, will I date him or be his friend again. He threw me away like a toy that was all used up...out with the old, in with the new sort of thing...all I felt for him - love, liking, trust, respect, it's dead....what I feel for him is what I feel for other humans...as I mentioned...
This experience has been a contributing factor in my reluctance to date again, even though I would like to...and it's been 8 years, already...

You want a scorpio to forgive you? Be genuine with them, man/woman up and apologize. "I will never love you again" is a phrase I've said a few times and honestly it hurts me more than anyone could know but it definitely helps me heal from a personal standpoint.
Im a Scorpio and was in an emotionally abusive relationship from the ages of 17-20. When we finally broke it off I realized I had lost myself completely. It felt like it was taking so long to rebuild a new life and heal and I blamed him, even though I now know this would be one of many deaths and rebirths I would endure. For years after I was hellbent on him knowing how bad he made me feel about myself and for embarrassing me. I didn’t wanna hurt him I just wanted him to KNOW that he was wrong and somehow feel bad for hurting me like it was the ultimate crime. I wanted him to regret it and I wanted him to acknowledge it. He never did which made it harder to move past. A decade later I’ve come to peace because I have more compassion for others now and understand motives of people. I think it’s important for Scorpios to do that inner work to channel the good aspects of the sign for the sake of others, but more for themselves. They aren’t “bad” like they’re made out to be but there’s a tendency foe that. There’s a lot of power there. The destructive nature of Scorpio does the most damage to the Scorpio itself.
