From what I've heard in an interview with them Bas is a piano player and a horn player. I've often thought that some of his long verses without taking a breath could be made possible by an ability to do circular breathing like many horn players learn to do. I agree, their musicianship is honed.
Despite the fact that this video shows them literally writing the bars out is a clue they write their shit but I honestly do not care if they write it. Their music is inspiring and makes me feel good and that's all the only thing that matters.

I’ve been watching the Trump “show” from both sides for hours a day since he slid down that elevator. It’s replaced all my normal drama, comedy, horror, thriller, and shocking reality shows. Like 2 realities. Looks mad from here.

They have a Friend Called Norman Pain, He did one called Sindhu Sesh as well, Pete and Bas Produced it, That is a Mad Good, Norman Pain is also an Older fella, Not as old as these but he's getting up there. Pete and Bas Go On Tour, Search RUclips there is videos of them
before your time probley young man but the tune reminds me of an old Scarface,(Brad Terrence Jordan) tune , 30 years ago , cant remember the name though , Im an old fart the first rap tune i can remember is The Sugarhill Gang Rappers delight 1979 and "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)" Melle Mel 1983 and probley the guys responsible for rap being liked world wide was DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Princes, Summertime 1991
TheCountBlackula (fantastic name) partially covered this previously, but their grandkids (Nine & Dex / 91 Shots and Handsome Dexter) produce most of their stuff and help with lyrics. Their track "Pecan Pie" is pretty nasty, and you can tell right off the bat what's going down. I don't think it's a complete ghostwriter situation, because youngfolk can't come up with some of this shit, but it's obvious that the wordplay and rhyme schemes are very similar. Regardless of all of that, Pete & Bas' (rhymes with Jazz, short for Basil) performances are awesome. Also, skirt in/skirting the dark like a Wiccan is a NASTY line. Props for your review, guv'na (as the Brits would say).
