I'm 77yrs old now and been a Palace supporter since my Dad took me when I was about 6 or 7yrs old and seen some great Palace teams and some poor teams but sadly today's defeat by Brighton puts them among the worse, surely it's got to be time for a total change of manager, owners, coaching staff and players or it's the Championship next season

the crystal palace arc is so funny.. they're stuck in midtable but think they're a top club so they get rid of the manager and get a new one. it turns out they were overperforming and things get worse under the new manager until relegation starts to seem possible. then they go get a new manager and repeat the process. they refuse to accept that this is probably as far as the club can go without new richer owners
none of us think we're a top club, we just dont want to start schlupp every week when he's overweight, jogs around not defending or attacking every game when we have a 20 million pound kid rotting on the bench who occaisionally gets to come on in the 98th minute if we're losing by 3 goals already (and then roy will blame the substitutes for the loss)
We know we arent a top club, thats the thing, people like you who have no knowledge about whats been going on at our club for the last couple of seasons start making judgement statements. There was clear ambition for the first few seasons, we did finish 10th once (not much I know) and we’ve just been working within our constraints since we spent heavily in the January of 2017, not much we can do unless we get bought

Rubbish. We spent £70m+ in 2 windows. Henderson, França, Wharton & Muñoz. Roy's not getting the best out of the squad by constantly playing his underperforming favourites like Schlupp & Hughes. The team is not organised, anymore. The amount of soft goals we concede at corners is a joke

He wanted to be the players friend, rather than the manager, so was too soft with them. As a result Palace were 20th in the league for sprints and ground covered. They weren't pushed. Senior players were unhappy with him because of this, as several players he picked gave no effort. He sacked coach Shaun Derry because he was too tough with the players. Again, Senior players weren't happy with this. He didn't play Eze for some reason, but played Shlupp instead. Not only were Palace losing every match, they had zero shots in his last 4 games. When Parish wanted to speak to him about all this, Vieira avoided him, didn't return his calls etc. So.....Parish sacked him.

Eze and Olise cost less than £30M combined. Dean is a complete wally we spent about £50M in the summer and £30M in Jan. Not using the loan slots looks criminal now. The issue is what the £50M was spent on. £25M was misspent for sure.
If player is injured he either starts or doesn't play. This way you don't waste a substitute.

You look at those brighton squad. They lost maccalister and caicedo and didnt replace them. You go by net spend i can guarantee de zerbi is 100 million in negative. They dont invest as well. Palace has no direction they just exist. Have to bring up and coming manager like iraola at least they are revitalized for the time being. Palace is lifeless.
Brighton are negative in net spend because they’ve brought in silly amounts from sales meaning they can still spend big money on incomings.

Again, pundits that don't watch palace enough or have any knowledge about what's actually going on talking about palace on national radio. Then they're bringing on braindead palace supporters to talk nonsense to the nation.
I swear to you all there are a lot of palace fans with brains who can explain why everyone is fed up and banners are coming out. It takes a lot for Palace fans to do that against a manager and the board. Firstly, what Hodgson is doing with this team is totally unacceptable.
1. He continues to play the same formation, tactics, and worst of all the same players (schlupp, Hughes as an AM when he's typically a DM, Richards at DM when he's a CB) while ignoring the youth players who show promise and are just as good and definitely have the potential to be way better with a run of games in the starting 11 (ozoh, ahamada, franca etc).
2. When he does bring the young players on for the last few minutes of a game he tends to outwardly blame them for bad results in post match interviews/press conferences. Most of the time it isn't even justified as his trusted players were on the pitch while palace were losing but hey "it's tough out there for the young ones". Who could forget him saying he should of protected the 3-0 loss at arsenal and not put the young ones on, when really it was the tompkins sub that affected the two late goals the most.
3. He admitted to media that he ignored the medical staff when they warned him about playing olise against Brentford. He played olise anyway and I'm pretty sure he played the game after which was a few days after that also. Olise got injured. He rushes Eze and Olise back coz he has no team tactics, it's "play it to olise and eze and let them do their thing". Just like it was "play it to Zaha and let him do what he does" during his first spell in charge. There are no attacking patterns of play at all, you can tell it is never worked on in training.
4. He has called the fans out a few times this season, calling us "spoilt over the years" after the defeat to Bournemouth when we were woeful. He has played down our rightful concerns (which we had even before Christmas by the way) because we are spoilt.
Parish said at the end of last season he is taking palace to the next level, he then signs Hodgson on for another season with barely any investment made on players in the summer. There's a disconnect between the fans and ownership because of this. At the start of the season Hodgson says he expects the team to fight for top 10. He then goes back to the turgid style of play which made the fans hate football back before vieira came in, but its even worse as we have a much better team now, Hodgson just refuses to use the players with any potential.
Anyone who doesn't understand why there are banners needs to read this. Palace fans are fed up.
