Jimmy, watching the Love Hard trailer was a day I never thought I'd see in my life, as an asian guy it's like the first time we've seen ourselves in that role EVER. Congrats on breaking new ground, a great performance and helping us and others see us in that way.
I loved your rant at the end... definitely agree. I've taught my sons how to cook because I do see cooking as traditional, cultural, therapeutic, and highly fundamental to a well-rounded knowledge base. Thank you Jimmy for a great video!

Lol, I recently began to appreciate how my mom would always make those 4 dishes every single night, and never complained about it. All that prep! No short cuts. No, stick it all in an insta-pot. Sometimes she'd just fry up some spam for one of the dishes, but even that takes work!

The speech at the end is so true. No matter how long the day is, no matter how bad everything transpired, there is always 2-3 fresh dishes with rice on the table. I am a wife and mom now myself and I heed by what my parents bestowed on my upbringing.

I totally agree. Cooking is a life skill that everyone should have. It's a complete turn off when people brag about not being able to cook like it's a good thing. I grew up on take outs and soda, and I can tell you it's awful. It's an awful habit and it awful for your health. I love this channel because Jimmy shows how easy it is to learn the basics and just get creative with what you have.
