There was a sentimental spirit in the '80s which I miss. This commercial is a great example. Pound Puppies were very significant to me, and still are, as they were a part of my childhood.
I'm looking for the one that featured the Dog Catcher who allowed Kids to take the Pound Puppies home, and said that he hoped there were other kids like them who would do the same thing they did. Do you know any youtuber who has that Pound Puppies commercial?

It would have made sense that as a gimmick the company would have donated a dollar from every purchase to the aspca but these toys prob actually caused real animals not to be adopted. Oh the irony.
