- In this video, I give a full tour and go into detail about the building process for my Lego X Mansion MOC.
I hope to make this the first of a series of videos showing off my Lego creations, focusing on the expansions and modifications I have made to official Lego releases.
Let me know what you think in the comments!
This is 1000 times better than the actual set. You did things I had dreamed would be in that set. So many great ideas and perfect execution. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you so much!
I’m obsessed I’ll be waiting for the instructions
amazing video well done!! the basement and the stairs to each floor are so well thought out! i have seen a bunhc of buidls but by far yours has the same compact feel of the original but logic and every detail added. bravo!
This is a beaute!!!! So beautifully fleshed out, such a great inspiration for any X-Mansion expansions for sure (mine included lol)
Thanks!
Bro this is awesome genuinely
I have had similar ideas for my expansion like many others but this execution far exceeds what I could think of! Great job!
Thank you!
dude. this is beyond awesome! you did a great job with this. i really love the whole underground area!
How come you have very little subscribers? I LOVE this content! You deserve more bro!
Thanks! I actually just revived this RUclips page a few days ago to focus it on Lego builds so I was starting from scratch with this video. I'm quite pleased at how the channel is growing right now.
Can`t wait for the next video!! Great work! Consider me subscribed. I want more if this, much more :)
Holy crap, please please please tell me you’re planning on making this into a serious, I’ve never seen a Lego video blow up like yours has in the Lego community in quite a while, you might be on to something here
Thanks! Yeah, I plan on doing 1-2 videos each month, going through every set
This is incredible
Thank you!
This is a super impressive build.
Thanks!
This is just incredible you just earned another sub👏
Same here (i.e. another sub thanks to this incredible job).
Thank you!
Yoooo I saw this, just wanted to say again this is amazing!1!1!1!
Thank you!
Nice moc
Thanks!
Yo this is,amazing
Looks promissing enough to make me your 19th subscriber! As someone who also enjoys modifying official Lego sets, I am looking forward to your future videos.
Thanks! I finally started the mods I've been putting on the back burner for the Sanctum this week so that will be next.
Nice! 👍
Thanks!
This is absolutely incredible. The only things I have to say, are
1. That landing pad looks a little small, and might not be able to hold the X-Jet (If it’s the new one, the old one should work fine)
2. I’d love to see if you can transform some small area, especially maybe somewhere on the 3rd floor with all those tiny spaces, into an area where deadpool is living, if you want to add this, what I’m referring to is similar to the Fortnite Deadpool bathroom (look it up, it’s pretty cool)
Yeah, I know it will be a little small for the X-Jet as is. I'm going to have to shrink it a little. While building, I used the Blacktron Cruiser GWP as a placeholder. That fits fine, so once I get the X-Jet, I'll just have to make it that size.
Dang that’s a full fledged city!!
It started as my covid hobby and now I'm almost out of space!
@ yay spending on plastic bricks!
Wow this is awesome man
Thank you!
Im ur 42nd subscriber and am not understanding how u only have 42 subscribers. Keep at it cause with the help of cerebro, I see great things in ur future
Thanks! I really just started this channel a few days ago and I'm excited to see how it's growing!
@@JacobThomasEmery that is what I was thinking because with the quality of the video and what ur showing, u will definitely grow as a channel
Nice work
Thank you!
Unbelievable. You are a true Lego artist. Just discovered your channel and I am subscribing you now. :) I hope you share the other parts of the city.
Thanks! The plan is to go through the whole city set by set
@JacobThomasEmery Awesome! 🫡
this is what it should've been
This is absolutely stunning. So thorough. You haven't missed anything out. The only room for improvement, I think, is the overall proportion of the building which seems out of alignment with the other modular buildings, and which might require you to make each floor slightly higher, but I understand why you might not be inclined to do that (it would take a lot of extra pieces and wouldn't add much to the interiors).
Would you consider putting any instuctions for this enhancment online?
I'll get to instructions as soon as I have the time.
The below ground part would not work as a standalone build in it's current state since it is tailored to my exact city layout so I need to redesign it in a way that works for everyone before I get started on instructions.
I want to see the batcave
I'll get to that one soon! I have to make a few changes to the layout of that part of my city which will likely result in changes to the Wayne Manor build.
The Sancum is next as I finally got around to modding it this week.
How did you build all of that so quickly?!?
I actually started the process way back in I July when the first picture of the set leaked.
It was super low res but I was able to tell that it was 1.5 baseplates so with just that info I got started on designing the basement levels and making my first pick a brick order.
I had the entire base built by mid October when the high res photos of the set leaked. Once that happened, I designed a rough build of the full mansion and ordered the remaining parts I knew I'd need (mostly windows, doors, and plates)
By the time the set actually came out I already had a detailed design so it was just a matter of replicating it in real life with some minor adjustments where needed
What is the app that he uses on minute 11:55 to show the X-mansion dimensions?
Bricklink Studio. I use it at least in part for almost all my designs now. It has every available lego piece in every available color and when you are done you can see the inventory of pieces that you used.
@@JacobThomasEmery Thx!!
How does one acquire your income
I've been collecting for a while now. I spend about 2,000 a year on lego and take advantage of 2X Insider weeks or when there are great GWP deals.
There's also a Lego store right next to the AMC I go to so everytime I see a movie I check the PAB wall and stock up if they have generic, neutral colored pieces that I know I'll use later.
In the end, this particular build only cost about $600. I had a bunch of the pieces already, spend about $200 on PAB pieces for the base, and I had $100 in rewards points. I sold off the duplicate minifigs and GWP to recoup some costs.
@@JacobThomasEmery Brilliant answer.
This is a great answer. Some people just don't understand what we as moc creators have to go through to actually get our ideas made in the physical world with actual Lego. I'm currently sitting on a bunch of duplicate SW figs that I want to sell to help fuel my addiction, oops, I mean my habit,..... Oh crap, wrong again. I meant my parts collection 😂
