- Psytrance producers Infected Mushroom walk us through one of their latest productions called "Serious Times" - a remote collaboration with Hope 6 which came to fruition during the pandemic. You'll see how Erez and Duvdev show us their song production workflow in Cubase, from initially receiving the vocals to vocal editing with VariAudio to writing melodies and harmonies, and adding beats with key commands.

There will be a lot more videos and stories on studios and music production during the #CubaseStudioWeeks at new.steinberg.net/promotion/cubase-studio-weeks-content/
Hey Steinberg. Thank you for the amazing content! I'e been a Cubase user now for about 5 years and after a total of 14 years working in audio production, I love this DAW the most by far. I've learned so much and yet there's still so much more to learn, like how to use macros.
The guys from Infected Mushroom mentioned they'd be willing to share their macro(s) with the community (10:00 - 10:10). That would be highly appreciated, if possible. Keeping fingers crossed...
Thanks again!
Where's the macro?
Finding a video of Infected talking about how they make their tracks is more than I could have ever hoped for
Aye it's like seeing magician explaining their tricks
Legends showing their way of work, it's just wow ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This one's much better: ruclips.net/video/Ppplsiz4gQ8/видео.html
This is gold. Super nice to see how these pro's work.
I didn't know you could have it show only used tracks at a given moment, in this case they're using U and Y. For anyone interested, I just found that you can assign this in the key commands under -
Channel & Track Visibility
1. Agents: Show All Channels/Tracks
and
2. Agents: Show Channels/Tracks with Data at the Cursor Position
assign to the keys of your choice.
I have been a long term fl studio user and just recently switched to cubase 11 Pro Cross grade during the cubase studio weeks. I wish I had of switched years ago. I find it a much more fluid work flow and easier to use. Great video and loved the content:-)
easier? Fl studio is easier, interesting actually lol, you been using fl studio before and you try cubase little time and say its easier? I think that most people find fl easier to start track
Guys!! Big fan - thanks for showing all these great details of your work!! I'll love the macro and spread it to my friends like a virus 😂
Interesting to see their process
Check this one, too: ruclips.net/video/Ppplsiz4gQ8/видео.html
Also nice video, great to see some insight behind your tracks :)
Great videos!
Love these guys!
I LOVE the interview. Nice to see them in good health and making music. I might be in the field of FL studio. But I hope to reach the skills of "just driving your car" in my music.
What a great music do these guys, I like how they use those synthesizers to perform any kind of electronic music. I'd like to be a professional superstar DJ like you in the future. I'm so glad about you guys. Come to Lima very soon, I'll be waiting for you right here. Greetings 🇵🇪🇵🇪🤘🤘🎧🎧
Cubase is the real deal, its really advanced, and it so cool,I tried fl,ableton, and protools but I just realized cubase is more all of them 🔥🔥🔥
Really great tips. Lovely to see how you work!!!
Serious guys 🤘
great interview!
that "SPLIT ALL TRACKS" alt-b shortcut just saved my next twenty years :D love yall though haha
Pretty cool ;) Legends!
Please help, when I add an fx channel to my project it starts misbehaving, i get audio dropouts and latency. My cpu metre starts spiking for no reason. It just started happening.
Love these guys, just like cubase
Would definitely love those macros haha
They show a screenshot at 14:04 which you can use to recreate it if you like. :)
@@fotisgimian4258 nice nice, cheers man!
Thanks for this Steinberg! Where to download that Macro they showed? Thanks!!!
this is so cool
Steinberg please please make it possibly to route stereo inputs into a VSTi - this will give us the possibility to record samples into maschine without having to open the plugin as an FX then losing the midi ability - or maybe even better that your own Sampler in cubase will be able to do live samples rather than drag and dropping prerecorded stuff, sampling used to be fun back in the day with hardware and it could be too with software. great to see these guys more tech producers and artists please..
What macro or key term/command is that at 9:25? Anyone knows?
Legends
so are there some screenshots from their macros for the community or did they share just this one with us? (I'm also grateful for this one, just wondering :) )
Cubase needs layering options, spliters, dual-mono, beter Direct offline procesing aka Reaper's one, sand boxing
Where can we get that Macro?
Can someone please support me by the makro mentioned in Cubase to delete all items but the selected bars in a time scale?
Hellow sir looomash presets and wav location ?
What is the name of the keyboard you are using please?
The best
15:53 Retroactive Recording - first introduced to Cubase by Werner Kracht on a small maintenance update with the words "oh, I forgot to tell anybody about this new feature I implemented..."
Everything on the little Macbook? That is really interesting
nice
10:40 Its called ARA Interface. Used for Melodyne and Spectraworks etc..
What's up with your license servers guys? Can not activate Cubase 😐 Last days of the sale.
Very nice guys, but why don't you make the track narrower? :-D In fact I love your music for a long time, great stuff here again! :-)
Does anyone know the track at the end? I can't remember if it's their old tracks or just a new one they're working on..🤔
It's called Pink Nightmares released 10 years ago.
@@alejandromagana1554 Oh I've listened to that before but didn't realize it was that one haha
are you sure about that guys? Have you ever tried Ableton?
track 18:27?
interesting , bass and kick drum are in stereo ..
When did IM switch to Mac?
Around 2016 or 2017, they talk about it in their "BPM" talk.
woah dude looks like Imhotep from The Mummy
I'm just here for the functiability
And the makwoes
🤟🇮🇱
Does Duvdev have only one eyebrow?
He does!
Yes they invented(Steinberg) but lagged behind others(other DAWs)
es
So much screen waste for track names. Move the inspector bar!!!
window layout like noobs...
You have to be a noob not to know that this is for filming and display. I mean, Who the Fxxk could work like that man?
You don't read the manual or listen to your partner. So uncomfortable to watch the talking over thing.
Erez is a true buddah
Yeah, I always wonder how conflicted Erez must feel all the time - on one hand, they wouldn't have reached such a success without all the guitars, Duvdev's obnoxious singing, etc. but he had to compromise so much on the music side...
I'd really love if they'd spend some time on solo projects, so people could actually see who's bringing what to the Infected Mushroom ;)
