Joel doesn’t get enough praise, dudes a great player
I can not agree mote Joel is one of My favourite guitarist
The KSE Riff's are just pieces of art
The main riff in breathe life is a masterpiece
The tone these guys get on their pinch harmonica will never cease to amaze me
True dat! It's really hard to blow into a guitar.
Conor Dwyer the have Caparison Signature harmonicas too
1 year later I realize I've made a mistake...
@@conordwyer5156 🤣
The consistency, accuracy and ability to do a pinch harmonic anywhere on the fretboard will never cease to amaze me
Adam looks exactly like the librarian from my high school and I think about that every time I hear killswitch engage or see a Capri sun guitar.
CapriSun is a drink, not a guitar manufacturer.
@@Arpeggioshredder Hahaha.

Dear Joel please play more guitar solos.
Love guitar nerds everywhere.
Adam D does the solos
@@Bdizzle-tm6bt yes but he should share and let Joel do some is what I'm saying lol Joel can shred too
Being a fan of this guy's since the beginning.. So good to see them with their own signature instruments.. They totally deserve it.. 🤘😍

Beardswitch Engage
I hope they are Killswitch Married by now
@@mikedelisle6419 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They're the best. One of my all time favorite bands and Adam's one of the coolest dudes ever
I love that they closed with Numbered Days. Reminds me of when it came out and saw them at Ozzfest in Dallas on the second day of touring. They were definitely on fire back then!!
Man I remember SOOO long ago a friend playing me this new band from Boston that was about to bring back old school metal and turn it into real modern metal. That 1st track just hit me like a freight train and didnt stop till the very last note of the album. Nothing ever like it! Thank You KSWE for years of amazing music. Wish I could afford a Caparison...
From Western Mass not Boston 😉 and no they’re definitely not the same place
@@michaelkaczmarek5353 correction then....New England lol
Triple S Hell yeah, can’t wait for the new album!
They look and sound so good but the price hurts
Big rip
What's the price on Adam's
adlerdefender $3099 for Adam’s and like $3399 for Joel’s
@@Hidanzo717 wow... Between these guitars and the music Man Majesty 🤔 Majesty all the way..
james hetfields doesn't even cost as much
@@Hidanzo717 And then you got mike d’s bass for $800. I’m glad I’m a bass player lol
I really want Adam's guitar in a 7-string
Killswitch make me so happy. Their personality, their incredible riffs, the beautiful yet brutal songs 🤘
4:12 - the best reminder why tight mutes need a tape/foam behind the nut :D
bonus style points if you use a gruv gear fret wrap
@@drenz Overpriced imho, I got some from aliexpress for 3 USD
Tape usually is good
Usually a noise gate gets rid of it if you have a decent one, icp decimator is one of the best
@@AeonAxisProductions I have 2 noisegates in my system (one to filter the signal from the guitar and one to filter preamp noise) but if you set it up aggressively to filter these string noises it will affect your sustain alot.
Plus during recording straight into an interface I wouldn't want to use a noisegate first.
Just tape it.
@Master Exploder Sure you can rely on the producer to cut out all the unwanted string noises, but it makes life harder than it needs to be
These guys play so tight together no drums needed.
Is the price right, Adam D?
Hey you 2 guys remember being in San Francisco with . Scott from EMG . We went had some Philly cheese steaks and went to the saloon .I couldn't believe you guys actually sat in the back of my camery with my fishing poles and guns . Hope one day again to see your band live .in person.
Peace be well Mike
le one day
These guys complement each other's playing so well! Ñisssssssssce 🎸🎸
I saw Killswitch open for soilwork and hypocrisy in Birmingham Alabama. Amazing show in the perfect size club. I drove 2 hrs to get there and it was so worth it.
Getting a Caparison Dellinger Prominence has been on the bucket list for a while now. Eventually I'm gonna snag one. I remember seeing KSE rocking these guitars YEARS ago, like in the late 2000s. At least Joel was, I think Adam may have been playing a Parker back then. First time I ever saw a Caparison and loved how purpose built they looked, and was always a huge fan of the head-stock design. I've been able to play one on a couple of occasions and it always blew me away.
Sick guitars but I wish they would have played through their preferred rig. The Boss didn't come across very well...
WakeeWakee sounded like they went direct instead of using a microphone.
That's what kinda cool for me in this video. They sound sick, knowing that they would be the beat sounding thing in a real rig
I agree with you, but the Boss usually sounds a lot better than that. As someone else pointed out, they might have used the direct out of the amp?
Wow such a tight and heavy tone m loving it❤❤❤
You thought you were selling those Caparison’s but in actuality you just sold the Katanas you were using... sick sounding amps.
Edit... I now have a Katana amp. Haha
the best metal tone ever..
Awesome!
Adam kinda looks like Alton Brown. sick new models!
Adams guitar is a battle weapon 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🍺
love caparison, the best guitars out there
4:07 i was expecting Adam to make a joke....Nope 😭
Joel is such a down to earth cool ass dude!
One of mt top 5 favorite bands ever.
Meet them both, they were both lovely :)
Beautiful
The headstock remind me of elf shoes.
I hear an after ring chirp in there. I always will foam mute my headstock and or bridge between the body to silence the chirp.
Their riffing at the end of the video has a ringing when they stop the strings. Same ringing my 6505mh had before I reseated the tubes..
Kolton McCallister Boss Katana has no tubes
@@xthexadvantagex the used a boss Katana? Huh, wonder where that noise was coming from.
@@xthexadvantagex maybe reseating the tubes wasn't what fixed it on mine... been a while..
@@xthexadvantagex I could swore that not jamming the tubes all the way down and leaving a slight space fixed it though.
@@xthexadvantagex Isn't it completely wireless?
Adam's shirt ❤
Why don’t you go first good man?! Such a gentleman
sick tone
That typo in the beginning 'Killswitch Engaged'
Damn Adams is badass
Killer..!!!
Weird seeing Adam with a Caparison after all those years he spent with other brands because they were so heavy
he did play caparison guitars before, but you're right...he had a parker fly signature and some prs and evh guitars
Kzzyn1990 yeah, he had the Caparison right when he was having his back troubles, just before he switched
What Boss amps are they using in this video, damn, they’re brutal!!
Capri-Sun
Now i really want a boss amp
C'mon Adam. Tell us the story of your Caparison PLM-3!
These dudes are riff machines
Would love to see the katana setting
Adam's side burns 😭
When are you doing ANGELMAKER sigs!?!?
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I know Matt is sponsored but a custom model would be cool ;)
Mr D, how many frets does that bad boy have? More than 24 it would appear for that extra bit of shred real estate.
27 frets my dude
I tried to zoom into Joels settings. he used katana artist amp.
correct me if im wrong or if it makes sense but but this is what I see.
gain - 10 oclock
vol - 12 oclock
bass - max??
mid - 2 oclock
treble - 2 oclock
The Katana amp isn't Joel's, he and Adam use Laney amps. Watch Killswitch Engage's rig rundown, it tells you everything you need to know
@@azarothshadowsoul yes I know but I own a katana lol
@@maoz115 Ohhhh I see now, sorry my mistake

Adam's always talking about sweating 😂
please please plsease, give me/us that profile from the katana that adam used 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
nice.
I go and see KSE every year, they're the cat's ass live!
The headstock looks like a shoe that an elf would wear...
Ouch that price 😳
Monstros
Adam makes everything he plays look tiny
What pedal is sitting right before going into the Katana?
My guess is that it's probably a Maxon compressor pedal
What's the scale? These seem so little!
What song Is that at 4:28
Numbered Days
Beautiful guitars.. however those headstocks remind me of alladins magic lamp lol
if anything they look like the tip of a devils tail imo
What is the song played at the end ?
Name of the 2nd song?
Numbered days
What's so special about Fishman Fluence pick ups what's the difference between that and an EMG Pick up
They are dynamic, there is not that annoying compression that active pickups are notorious for having. The tone controls work better. Newer EMGs like the Retro Active or Het Set may have no compression and tone controls with a better sweep than the traditional 81/85 but I am not familiar with them.
plus killer sustain
You can switch through different voicing too.. 😅 The Killswitch fishman have three different voices 😄
@@zothanzualachhangte3416... that you have to remove the pickups from the guitar in order to access the switch. No thanks.
EMG 85 FTW!
Van020280 No you don’t. You can access the voices from a push pull knob. I have them in all my guitars.
Adam played a EVH Wolfgang for a long time.
Short time actually compared to what he has played. Caparison, Parker, prs, evh, back to caparison.
Little bit of microphonic feedback there at the end. I'll blame the Boss......or maybe Joel's trem springs. Gotta heat shrink em!
Joel has never used a trem...is a fixed bridge my man 🤘🏼
Love these guys. Glad they didn't go with the tradition style of metal guitars.
I agree with you. However. As much as I love Caparison guitars and KSE, Caparison guitars are worth twice the price of a production line Gibson at about $4k USD. Not a lot of people have that kind of money. So I don’t see the point in Caparison pushing Signature models because not many people can afford them. Therefore not many profits to be made.
Hey guys.... See how they are playing through boss Katanas, but still sound like killswitch?? Hmm.....
It sounded like Killswitch riffs played through BOSS Katana.
@@Kornholic Correct.
Boss Katana ftw
I know this is going to make me a half-ass Killswitch engage fan lol but what's the riff they played at the end of the video?
Numbered Days from Alive or Just Breathing
@@jasonnielsen5976 that would explain it I've heard every album except for the first two
@@Menoetius. , I had a buddy of mine who gave me a copy of Alive or just Breathing, and he told me to listen through the whole thing three times, I'll be honest my first time through I thought it was trash, but by the end of the third I was hooked, their first two albums are pure, raw, unadulterated energy, and it's also honest.

I want one so bad, but currently don't have $3,500 to spend.
What song was that at the end that they played?
Numbered days
Dig the headstocks but they sound like mush
Dat Boss Katoan...
Why are they SO expensive though?
made in japan
Over $3,000....that's a big nope
Why the hell would u put a walnut top on a guitar that's going to be painted solid black
Caprison guitars
Wheres the pizza guitar?!!
Super nice guitars, but there is no reason why either of these should cost 3,000$ lol
Caparison is an expensive brand, and putting those names on it, makes them even more so.
They're hand crafted, high quality and they only make them in small batches with a limited number of models at a time. Expensive but worth it if you have the money to spend on one.
Yes there is. The craftsmanship is higher quality than cheaper guitars. Simple.
Any one know what amps there playing on?
Boss Katana
odd time signature
Are they available
Great guitars if you have an extra 2-4000 bucks laying around.
Plz mute those headstock overtone guysssssss
All guitars should have stainless frets.
Take my money 🤑🤑🤑
I like the headstock! but the 24.75 scale is a deal breaker for me.
They're both 25.5" scale my dude.
I think its 25.5 but why does the scale matters?
@@recipoldinasty less tension on the strings is usually a big part of it
@@kurtshirvinski836 yeah but you can just get a higher gauge, i mean the difference between 25.5 and 24.75 is almost nothing
@@recipoldinasty it makes a pretty big difference, especially at first. Millimeters make massive differences in guitar specs. I go back and forth now but the first few months were rough. I picked up an older Schecter C1 Plus to pair with my C6 Omen Extreme a couple years ago and it was definitely a curve, same body shape, same neck carve, same fret size, same bridge, same price range, same setup, etc the only real difference is the C1 is 24.75 and it messed with my muscle memory at first. I almost had to completely retrain my hands to play parts I'd known for years on it because my hand naturally tried to reach where the fret would be on the 25.5 and I was constantly bending sharp or pushing barre chords sharp because the lesser tension and the next gauge up didn't exist back then. (I was playing Ernie Ball Not Even Slinkys in C Standard for reference, this was before Mammoth Slinky and such). It's all small stuff that's just slightly inconvenient enough to be annoying and a turn off. I personally like both but just playing devils advocate. I use the scale lengths for different parts, my 24.75s are all set up for leads and my 25.5s are pretty much all rhythm. I use stringjoy custom sets now too to compensate for the tension differences and really hone in how I want them to feel instead of relying on the inconsistent tension of Ernie Ball sets
LOL using boss katanas
My friend has one. It’s actually a pretty solid mid-tier kind of amp, surprisingly.
An amazingly good Amp
( being left handed) this is my curse
I see what ya did there . 👍👌
Love KSE but those guitars are too rich for my blood
no no-dist? wtf..
