Hi chetna just love your recipes....just 1 request put your recipe ingredients in description below...would b much easier for us to quickly assemble all ingredients n follow your recipes..💞❤❤❤
I am so happy to have found you. I could watch your reviews at the end all day. Thank you for the recipe. I'm making it right now. I'm assuming self rising flour is just plain flour with some baking powder and salt in it.
I made this and it came out amazing! But I also added an extra tsp of baking powder like you do in your other recipes even though they have self raising flour. Is there a reason why you did not add the 1 tsp of Baking powder in this?
A lovely recipe. Made this with less sugar and butter and no icing. Lovely cake to have with tea and so fluffy. I wonder can you make a muffins version with this recipe?
I am annoyed with the youtube algorithm for not recommending this channel sooner! I was searching for pistachio cake recipes a week ago, and this just came up as a recommendation! I watch so many cooking shows but somehow Food with Chetna has never come up. Your recipes look incredible, your energy is stunning, and your videos look great! I can't wait to try some of these delicious recipes.
Hi chetna I watched you on British baking show u did awesome . Can you leave out the rose water ? Also is it self rising flour or regular because ? I didn’t see you add baking powder ?

I tried this with gluten free flour (rice-, lentil- and cornflour combo) and it was deemed very good. I used two toppings, dried Mango (could not get any fresh) and Pistacho. However my friends would prefer double cream only ;oD
Delightful as always -- you've made it look easy enough for even the most novice of bakers :-) Wish we could try a piece, but that's why we have to make the recipe ourselves!
Hey Chetna, Thanks for sharing your journey with us! Could you please show us some Portuguese/Lebanese desserts? Few baking tips scattered through the videos would definitely be a plus for some of us beginners. Shine!
Oh wow your recipes are gonna kill me!! Please can you share some healthy diabetic friendly recipes....loving your chanel!! Thank you!! When are you planning a trip to south Africa....beautiful country and has the highest indian population outside of india....you have to make a trip some day! Plus our curries have a unique taste....
Could you mix the cardamom with the flour before putting it in the mixer to make sure you get an even distribution? Or is that even an issue with the spice?
clawtooth35 It’s best to wait for chetna to answer, however I don’t roast the cardamom if I’m adding it to a dessert. It kind of looked little about 10-15 pods. Try with 10, see if you have a teaspoon and then add more as needed.Hope that helps :)
My spice vendor told me he would always blizz the capsules and not use powder in bags because there is to much rubbish in there. He gave me something to compare and I agree: no comparision - always use pods.
Must say I feel pretty bad for your camera man/boy who must stand there silently as you bite into that Gorgeous cake. I hope he earns a nice big piece for not dropping the camera while watching;-)
would this be the correct American measurements? 1 cup of room temp butter 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of flour 4 eggs 1 tsp ground cardamom 2 tbsp spoon milk 1/2 tsp rose water
Cake:
200g unsalted butter, softened
200g golden (or plain) caster sugar
200g self-raising flour
4 large eggs
1 good tsp ground cardamom (seeds from approx. 8-10 pods)
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp rosewater
Icing:
200g double cream
2 tbsp caster sugar
200g cream cheese
80g pistachio nuts
Bake at 180°C for around 30min
Thanks so much

@@tanyasolan4693 It looks like a 9 by 13 inch tin.

Not an issue at all, you can add to the flour too
Hi..can u tell, why you are not using both baking powder and soda
because the self raising flour already has baking powder mixed into it.
@@FoodwithChetna thank u mam..big fan of yours...but self raising flour means nothing but all purpose flour right
Lovely!!

I only have cardamom pods at home (green) - how many should I crush for this do you think? And should I roast them beforehand?
clawtooth35 It’s best to wait for chetna to answer, however I don’t roast the cardamom if I’m adding it to a dessert. It kind of looked little about 10-15 pods. Try with 10, see if you have a teaspoon and then add more as needed.Hope that helps :)
No need to roast them and you would need seeds from around 8 to 10 pods.
My spice vendor told me he would always blizz the capsules and not use powder in bags because there is to much rubbish in there. He gave me something to compare and I agree: no comparision - always use pods.
