People who dislike nigella confuse me. She truly is a goddess. I love her recipes and philosophy
Emily Devereaux some people hate her because of her upper middle class background, accent and education. I like her a lot but there is a huge class divide in Britain and some people's hatred for Nigella sums it up.
They're jeeeaaaaalllouuussss
My problem with her is that she is pro fur
As she says, “Simple beauty”. I have watched a few of her videos. I really like her recipes. I could listen to her for hours. She is so poetic, graceful. Such class.
just made this today and it turned out lovely...
Nice Middle Eastern themed cake! Yet if you swap rose water for orange flower water, you will have more strong and defined taste, especially with the pistachios on the top, and adding a bit of samolina grits to the mix, will make the cake holds well, especially with the weight of the apricot pieces.
Nadia Subri hi Nadia. Do you have a good recipe for an orange almond cake recipe?
Ooh great ideas, I was thinking orange flavor would be good. I have never heard of orange flower water
I agree, but semolina is not gluten free. Which is _so important_ nowadays.
polenta does the binding here. semolina is inferior in flavour
@@RituparnaNyes, but the orange flower water idea is still great. Btw semolina would bind slightly better than polenta.
she's one of the most underrated beauty in the world. her food, her words, how can you not fall in love with her? her presence just soothes.
Yes she's something else.
Absolutely!
when cooking and poetry mixed...
That cake feels good! Now I want to make it! Such an Arab inspired dessert! I would love to try it with dates!
She is lovely
She is beauty personified drop dead gorgeous
😂😂😂
I've made this a couple of times and it's wonderful. You're a cooking goddess.
Wonderful nigella .... I wonder if she knows how much we love and admire her ....just want her to be happy
Her kitchen is soo nice. One day I'll own a nice town house :( For now I'm a poor student.
+Jacob Wheaton even i think in the same way
this is how aspirational tv works. it's all bonkers
Hang on in there buddy :D
May God fulfill your wish !! Best wishes :)
Believe me, there are more important things in life than heavy debt from buying a house. That being said, if that is really one of your top priorities in life and you will compromise on other things for it, best of luck!
This was enough for me to figure it out -- AND to want to buy her new book. To keep it gluten free you cannot sub semolina (semolina is wheat) for polenta. Instead used fine corn meal which is the same thing. I didn't have Rose water. Sub fresh orange zest.
Too much rosewater is a bubble bath--love it!!
I can't imagine who good it is ! Avec du thé un jour de pluie ! mamamia
I love to watch Nigells every cooking. I am a big fan of her cooking.
Iam watching her my childhood, she is my inspiration for cooking I love the way she cooks without any galmour just the way she does nd she still remains my favourite forever lovee uu

Thank You.
Lovely Nigella!
So pretty!
Sei bravissima
Delicious 😋👍
Simple beautiful 😍
Going to try this without eggs but with apple cider vinegar + baking soda to help it rise ☺️ also some almond milk to make up for volume x
+Abhi Velu my first attempt no, but my second try I used aquafaba to make a fluffy egg replacement and that worked well :)
how much aquafaba did you use? thanks
Your chicken fried is quite delicious and your voice is very clear and sweet
Awesome NL
Remember TLC ❣️❣️❣️ watching super I love it
Thank you! I’m the only one who loves apricots in my family...Plum Pudding too! Does the polenta add graininess? Or does it smooth out?
Super
Don't know how she keeps her figure with that very sweet tooth she has...I thought she could have cut down on the white stuff a bit..and perhaps the sugar as well !!
Jacqueline Paul according to a recent interview she said that “in order to continue to fit through doors”, she had to either eat less or move more but said dieting would never be on the cards, so she started walking briskly up hills, doing Pilates and lady weights.
Beautiful, as usual
Huh. 2016 and Nigella was doing ASMR. Who knew.
Nice and easy recipe! What syrup is that? I didn’t understand. Where is the written recipe?
you don't get any sexier than Nigella.....especially in the kitchen
There's no sweetness in polenta and ground almonds. She just brings some new sense in her shows. But I really like her cooking she's just amazingly beautiful n her voice n her British accent.
Isn't she just SO special?
❤❤❤👍👍👍
Can polenta be replaced with Semolina or just all purpose flour
I love apricots oh that looks dangerous to cook as you'd keep eating more and more.
Is Nigella trying to take credit for a traditional Lebanese apricot cake which is normally done with orange blossom water? A much nicer flavor than rose water btw.
I love you ❤
Peach raspberry cake with Rosewater and
Can you please write down the recipe please
It's in her page for free
I can taste that special flavor of this delicious torte. Congratulations Nigella!
I would be thanksful if you can give the meassures, cause I can't understand exactly what is necessary. There's no butter, well the 6 eggs would provide it. I'm expectant for your kind answer my lady!
Brenda de Van Dillewijn The following are the quantities (for one 8-inch or 20-centimetre cake), from Nigella's website:
150 grams dried apricots
250 millilitres cold water
2 cardamom pods (cracked)
200 grams ground almonds
50 grams fine polenta (not instant)
1 teaspoon baking powder (gluten-free if required)
150 grams caster sugar
6 large eggs
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon rosewater
Has anyone tried this recipe without apricot or tried other dried fruit substitute?
I cant take it anymore, gotta say it. Nigella is a hot momma.
Hey.. Anybody plz tell me which is first ingredient she use in blender... What's the name of serum
the syrup at the start is just 250ml water, the apricots and cardamom
here's the link if you want it

Why do telly chefs crack eggs as though they're in a Purple mattress commercial?
Were can I find the recipe
Google it!
@Jim Halfpenny lol
Chalo chalo, jaldi chalo. Waha ice-cream garam ho jayegi.
Is 180 for a fan oven or conventional?
Will it taste eggy??
Hi Nigella...Hope you 'll reply this comment...love the recipe, I'm Indian and I work a lot with cardamom...couid you kindly let me know how much cardamom and apricots are used in this recipe? Thank you ...Risha
Unfortunately she doesn't go through this video nor the comments as it's been posted by the commercial channel. You better contact her through Nigella's Instagram...
A beautiful face and heart. One of the best female Celebrity Chef.
She should put milk a bit using her melons for additional taste. lol kidding. Underrated Chef. But She is one of my fav when it comes to desserts
Did she say dairy free and then add SIX eggs?
Wow , I want to try that cake ❤!
Apricots, but how much. 100, 150 200 gram or more...
Nigella is excellent, but the sound effect are super annoying.
How come she's 60 years old but still look like she's in her 30s?
She is as common as clay.
Okay Ian the unique...
Flavour profile is odd, I'm sorry
she said dairy free but the cake uses 6 eggs.
Dairy free means no products coming from a cow. She didn't say it was vegan.
It is dairy free because there are no cow products in this. She never said it was vegan.
Eggs are not dairy... Dairy is products made from milk like cheese, butter, yogurt, etc.
cake looks very dry and overcooked on the edges .. nonetheless I only watch nigella for NIGELLA , not the recipes :)
Totally ruined it with too much rose water and the pistachios 🤢🤢
Not being to your taste doesn't make it ruined...
@@MarioMVasilev it’s ruined to ME. Either that’s a hard concept to comprehend or you’re really bored ….
Good grief it sounds absolutely horrible.
Appricots and cardamom!! Not compatible at all .
To your taste...
I don't understand why she has to be so sexual about it?! It's just a cake 😂 and the background music is so inappropriate! It's a cooking show! I think she's been single for far too long and takes it out on her recipes 😭🤣
Halim Otaki What about this was sexual to you?
Sexual and sensual are not the same thing...
She is so pretentious -makes it tedious to watch .
I liked this cake recipe-except she should have used semolina instead of polenta.
And that absurd joke about rose water-clearly she doesn’t know the difference between real and fake rose water.
