Although as you said the makers of Stemoscope make it clear that it's not a medical device, but intended more for recreation I can see how it could be useful in aiding the teaching of auscultation, in conjunction with a good quality stethoscope. I've only had mine a few weeks and am still getting the hang of it. I wasn't aware of the "STEM" mode but will definitely try it. Thanks for your review and good luck with medical school!

Can also be used to amplify BONE CONDUCTION sound. For example ,ask the person claiming to be experiencing this to place the middle finger of each hand in each ear. Only the sufferer will be able to hear the bones of the fingers rattling and will be unable to record the sound they hear. But when the Stemoscope is pressed against the ear it will amplify this sound and it can then be recorded .
Is there a way to download the scrolled "sound equalizer" chart at the bottom. I noticed your heart experienced several PVC's/PAC's, one while auscultating the mitral valve 5:49 and another while auscultating the tricuspid 6:28. I glanced at the scrolling chart and you can see these ectopic beats. There was interference of course, you were moving, talking and doing a video. But I am wondering if in a quiet room where these irregular beats show up on there, whether this would be a good tool to identify patterns...bigeminy, intervals, etc without having to listen to a long recording but to simply download the complete chart and looking at the wave forms.
This is pretty amazing!!! 😱😱😱 technology is so cool. I do worry about technology getting it wrong though 🙈 Definitely going to be showing the team today this! We were discussing tech stuff yesterday :)
I have some doubts, can I buy this product? Is it expensive? I live in Spain. And it's an interesting product, I could not understand everything fine, maybe I should watch again the video.
Is the only way to listen to my heart beat right now? Im sad I cant use my apple watch to listen to my heart beat but Im glad there’s atleast an alternative
I ordered one & found it's useless. The prepietary Bluetooth communication & software both FAIL to connect & work. It's rubbish, I wasted hours with a few different devices & it still FAIED to work. It's a great idea if only it Worked
Wow, what a cool idea. It would be great if we didn’t have to carry around traditional stethoscopes in the future. They’re a pain in the neck to carry around.

I wonder how good this may be for use with breathing exercises. I used a wall microphone, but it picks up too much noise.

Can you hear the sounds of the peristalsis ?
How can you connect your mobile phone to stemoscope and wireless headphone at the same time?
I wear bluetooth hearing aids that connect to my phone. Would this work well for that?
i had the same question
I want to know too. I use the Phonak paradise hearing aids which are blue tooth. Does it work on both Android and IPhones?

I noticed it too. But thought it could have been the interference, hope it’s that and not the other.
Very nice Ollie , very honest statement , keep going

I suppose you could buy a cheap stethoscope and do it that way! If you want to record it obviously you would need something a bit more like this
Can you use it to monitor fetal heart beat?
It's not recommended for medical use I believe! While in theory I'm sure you could, but I would not attach any medical use or diagnosis to it.

I was thinking of this type n searched on RUclips I though I'll be first to make it but congratulations
great stethoscope but here in California nurses are not allowed to use mobile phones, so that patients don't think that nurses take pictures of them.

So do you have real time sound of the heart pump? I would like to use the device in a intervention protocol, thank you!
sick
Ha! Look how much they are now! Has your opinion changed?
I was very disappointed with mine. The sound quality is poor and inconsistent. I’m sorry I waisted my money on it 😒
Sorry to hear that Marcus! I've enjoyed having mine, I wonder if there's variation in production quality?
You just made my own heart skipped over hearing your beautiful heartbeat and enjoy listening to people heartbeats
